This 150 m² gîte is located in the former lodgings of the Carthusian monks, on the first floor of the town hall. You will appreciate its large living room, its fully equipped kitchenette, and its 3 large bedrooms with private bathrooms (which can accommodate up to 14 people thanks to the extra beds). The distribution of beds is as follows: the blueberry room, 1 double bed. the yellow room, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds. the green room, 2 single beds and 4 single beds on the mezzanine. Sheets are available for hire and towels are included. A municipal car park is located 50 m from the gîte. The temporary access for unloading luggage is closed by an electric terminal that automatically retracts. Please do not use it even if you find it open. Please contact the information point. Only staff are authorized to open the access terminal. The Tourist Office and the town hall decline all responsibility in the event of an incident occurring during the crossing. Ideally located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, in the heart of a verdant valley within the Pilat Regional Natural Park, discover this gîte in a unique cultural setting: a Carthusian monastery founded in 1280. For 500 years, silence and solitude reigned in this place inhabited by monks. During the French Revolution, after the Carthusians left, the inhabitants transformed it into a village. Thus was born the commune of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, today classified among the most beautiful villages in France and a village of character in the Loire region. Housed in the monastery buildings, this site has retained all its authenticity. Guests, whether with family or friends, will find peace and serenity in this comfortable gîte, which features a small garden on the ground floor. A soccer field and tennis court are located near the gîte. Two restaurants are available on site and farm produce is sold.
