This cozy ocean apartment Casa Mar Y Sol is located North of Ambergris Caye, about 30 mins from town center.
Located right on the Ocean, Casa Mar Y Sol is the ideal vacation home!
Charming touches and ocean-view balconies on the top level make this condo a lovely retreat on the beach. The home is raised off the ground, and a large staircase at the back of the house leads to the front door through an outside seating area. The main living area consists of a kitchen with appliances and cookware if you desire to prep your own meals, and a dining table that offers seating for 6. The living area with a queen-sized sleeper sofa and television provides a nice space to relax.
The bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed is located in the loft, which you can see from the living room. Both rooms are cooled with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Patio doors lead to a tiled veranda off the main living area that overlooks amazing views of the Caribbean Sea! No better place to watch a sunrise.
Please note:Â This home is not suitable for guests under the age of 12.
Although there are many other homes in the area, the property is fairly secluded being 3.5 miles North of San Pedro Town. Note that the road to the property is unpaved and can get a bit bumpy at times. Because of its distance from town, we recommend renting a golf cart (about a 20-minute golf cart ride). A taxi can be called and will cost approximately $30 USD one way. Ask us about our service to provision the home with groceries prior to your arrival for convenience.
Casa Mar Y Sol is close to the Secret Beach turn-off, so you can be sipping a cocktail at sunset, without having to rough it "off grid"Â at a Secret Beach rental home. There is a gas station and convenience store now open just a block north, for all your shopping needs!

The town of San Pedro sits on the Caribbean island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. It is a beautiful tropical paradise, like most Caribbean islands, in a small and developing country. Although most areas on the island are connected to electricity, water, and internet, please be aware that there are occasional interruptions in service. Planned interruptions in service are announced by the local utility companies, and we strive to inform our guests as quickly as we are notified. When interruptions occur that are unplanned, the locals go about making the most of their day until service is restored.
We stayed at Casa mar for 2 months in 2025 we had a wonderful time the condo was well equipped with all the things that we needed the view was spectacular and was close to town and the secret beach turnoff it was on the upper floor so there were stairs which we didnât mind but could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues the upper deck was great for spending time on but again more stairs we would definitely stay here again
My wife and i just spent 31 days here. The property was actually better than the pictures. It was very comfortable. The location was far enough from town to be quiet, yet it was close to Secret beach and there were lots of stores and restaurants close by.We had a great time with the kayaks and the fishing pole on the property. We also snorkeled out front. But my favorite thing was to grab a cup of coffee and sit and watch the view as the sun came up.The full time neighbors in the apartment below were really nice and provided a ton of local knowledge and advice. The only negatives are that the furniture is pretty worn and dated as were the kitchen pots and pans. But, that wont stop us from renting here again!Lastly, the property management team was very responsive and friendly, taking care of any problems quickly.
Great value and location. Don't expect perfection.
Excellent for 2. No hot water. Coffee machine is from the 80s. Plumbing is loose. New fridge. Great air-conditioning and fans help when it's hot. Lighting is as bad as it gets. Outdoor furniture Needs replacement as they can't be fixed. Rooftop patio is excellent and would be phenomenal if the furniture wasn't falling apart. Needs some lamps and extension cords. But, if I'm in Belize, I'd stay there again.
