2 bedroom on the beach located walking distance from nice restaurants and bars! Also have a dock in front for pickups for all snorkelling,fishing and diving! Home has 3 beds, airconditioning, full kitchen, wifi,hot and cold water, spacious veranda with hammock overlooking the Caribbean Sea!! Will book all trips for you! We are a great place for families, since the Sea is footsteps away for kids to play! Golf cart traffic only on our beach

This beach house is in a great location and walkable to many locations in San Pedro. The house is a good size for a family. It would have benefitted from instructions on how to get hot water and for necessities like towels and toilet paper to be pre-stocked prior to arrival. We contacted the host and these were remedied and repaired. We also rented a golf cart from the host and there was a miscommunication on the amount of gas provided. We should have checked more thoroughly as it was almost empty when we went to fill it after minimal use. It is a basic golf cart with some quirks but got us around.

Casa Magdaluz provided an immersive experience beyond all. The beach house was adequately furnished with all that we needed, and a first day challenge with water pressure was solved by Jaime's Sparky, family covering while Jaime was away. Martin, who lives next door, quickly became a friend. He took us on a golf cart tour showing us the best shops for food, veggies, and the sausage factory. We watched Jaime's son-in-law get ready to go fishing (commercial fisherman) and purchased one of the largest Snapper for Eric and Martin to cook upon his return. The stories from him-amazing.Three dogs were part of this lively community with the Nala, being my favourite. People were all extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our vacation. Would highly recommend and we will be back!!
Landy was out for 2 days spearing 40+ lobsters. We purchased this very large Snapper. Lots of stories here.

The mornings were very peaceful. The house was very clean and neat. Fans and lights in every room as well as AC if needed. Full kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Best of all, the owner lived upstairs and was very attentive and helpful the entire stay.

The host was very welcoming. It was great to have the purified water dispenser and big jug of water. I enjoyed being in a Belizean neighborhood with our host just next-door. I felt very very safe and felt like part of the family. It could use a bit more maintenance as there was some mildew in the shower area. Jose and his family are the best.

A truly amazing place

Absolutely awesome! One of the best vacation homes we have stsyed in yet. Jamie and his family are amazing hosts! Felt nore like family than guests. I highly recommend and look forward to another amazing stay in the future!!

Great property for a beach front vacation. The beaches were pretty dirty, unfortunately. Otherwise this house would have been a place you’d never have to leave. But that’s pretty much the whole side of the island
tons of sea grass everywhere. The house host Jose was wonderful. Everything we needed was provided. The neighbors were all amazingly nice and friendly. Right next door is a locals outdoor small bar that was a blast and super affordable. Food everywhere within walking distance. Very safe area and the A/C in the house worked great. Get a golf cart if you want to see the whole island

Our family very much enjoyed our stay here. Jose’s recommendations and help with logistics were welcome and on point. We could walk to almost everything we wanted to do, see, eat. Air conditioning worked great. The shared yard has sweet dogs which we very much loved but renters should be aware in advance.

the best location ever!

Jose's apartment is a fabulous location right on the beach across from an excellent pier restaurant...Cool Beans and a dive shop...Chuck and Robbies. It is clean. We slept good and the air worked perfectly. The pictures on the site are not updated so we had a moment of concern when we walked up and saw a washer and dryer on the porch with other clutter but we overlooked all this because the location is so perfect and Jose is a great host. We would stay again.

Fantastic rental!

First of all, Jaime really understands the stress tourists might have when coming to San Pedro, so he arranges all the transportation from the airport to his house. A taxi was waiting for r us outside the airport, the driver gave us our water taxi tickets, and Jaime came with his friend/helper Sparky to pick us up at the water taxi terminal with his 2 golf carts (we're a family of 5). At first I thought I didn't need all of that, but in the end I absolutely loved it, it was the best arrival we could get. Easy peasy!About the place, it might not be a 5 star hotel but the house was clean and functional. We had a problem with the water dispenser and they took care of it right away. We felt really safe in this house, I would have let the door unlocked without fear. The people I met there (Jaime's family and friends, Martin the long-term rental neighbour) will share everything and help everyone, I can confidently say they are genuinely good people.You will see them a lot if you spend time on the couch just outside the house!The tree right in front is really big and it provides shade around the yard, paired with the ocean breeze it allowed us to cool down whenever we came back after an activity.Overall I am more than happy and would gladly stay again if I ever come back to Belize. I made local friends and will miss them! Thanks Jaime!

Pictures of property not accurate

Description says newly remodeled but we have several photos we took and it hasn’t been remodeled, updated or cleaned in a very long time. Pictures featured on website do not depict the actual state of the property. The description stated a hammock on property. There was no hammock, outdoor furniture old and worn. Water never got hot and we had to take luke warm showers daily, Freezer smelled like fish, dogs barked all night. The yard looked like a junkyard with old tattered furniture, we had to step around dog poop on our way out of the yard. The dryer didn’t heat, it looked like the heating element was going to catch fire. Owner came in while we were sleeping at property, opened the bedroom door, turned the light on, and took a tv out of the room. When owner was approached he said he knocked several times and no one answered so he came in because someone was going to “fix” the tv. When actually the tv was set up outside next to our unit and a group of men, including the owner were watching a soccer game. The only positive thing regarding the property was location and the owners quick response. Please inquire about photos of the property. I would love to share.

Home away from home

If your staying in San Pedro then Jamie house is where to be. We felt so welcomed with Jaime, and son and his friends. They treated us like we knew each other. The location was perfect, with the views and restaurants all along the street. Everything was a good walking distance from eachother, but Jamie does rent out his golf cart which is the best thing to do. Jamie even picked us up and dropped us off at the water taxi. We loved everything and everyone at this location. It was such a good vibe. Not to mention there a bar next door with super friendly people. We will see you again soon Jamie.

Great location, clean property, good value

First, Jose was an exceptional, responsive host. He picked us up at the ferry dock, arranged a golf cart and arranged snorkeling tours for us. The property was central and had everything we needed. Good for families. We really weren’t there much, because there’s so much to do. We love Belize and the friendly people and we hope to come back soon!

The location is incredible. Just north of town and right by many docks with great places to play and relax. Jose is very friendly, kind and helpful. He picked us up at the water taxi, and dropped us off when it was sadly time to leave. The front porch And courtyard on the beach were amazing, and he has dogs that we adored. Great spot, simple and just what we wanted.

Great ocean front spot!

Great place, ocean front with a pleasant patio to sit outside and enjoy the breeze! Close to town, restaurants and anything you could need. Well equipped with new mini split a/c units, water machine and nice kitchen. Reach out to the host, before check in. He will come collect you and make sure you are checked in! I would stay again!

Jose and Jaimie took excellent care of us at their House by the Beach. Jose met us at the airport in San Pedro even though we were later than expected and made sure that we got back to the San Pedro airport when we were leaving. Jose got us a golfcart for the day when we went to Secret Beach. Just very accommodating at every turn. Jaimie was looking to get us out snorkeling, but the weather and wind did not cooperate, but he gave us valuable information regarding San Pedro, Belize, the weather. We had a great time staying at their property.

Wonderful property with a perfect host

We stayed for two weeks with my family, and really enjoyed our vacation at José's apartment. He has been an excellent host and helped us with everything and gave us very good recommendations regarding diving, tours and restaurants. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed. The neighborhood is very nice, and you're in walking distance to almost everything. For everything else we used the golf cart we rented from José. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again when coming back. Thank you, José!
