Kata the manager was amazing. We booked for a 2 room apartment and they only had a one bedroom apartment when we arrived. She worked with us to make sure we had what we needed and gave us a bit of a refund since we squished into the 1 bedroom.

The Santiago Unfurnished Apartments group does not appear to have a strong relationship with Expedia. Both charged me for my stay and Expedia cannot resolve the issue of my refund. Therefore, I recommend avoiding this place.

Good at the right price

I was told the place had aircondition, but it doesn't. However, I was compensated for this. The view is terrible, however the area is really good. It is quiet and peaceful. I don't feel it is worth the price they normally charge for it (around $70), but I got it at a discounted price of around $42 and then it is definitely good value. As other people have said, the check in process is a bit of a mission (as you have to go to a different place first), however at checking out if you call they will send somebody over to come and inspect and give you your deposit money back, which is really helpful. Other people have complained about this, but the wifi is still definitely a problem. It is slow and sometimes the signal is so weak, my devices didn't connect at all. If you want a clean, small apartment, then I recommend this place.

Value for money but need improvement on cleanline!

The apartment is spacious with basic furnitures. The apartment seems to be at a residential building where there are some apartments are used for holiday renting. The location is at working distance from the walking districts (about 5 blocks away from the busy district). The tables and countertops are dusty and appliances are not as clean. Good thing is that the bed sheets felt clean. I saw quite a numbers of cockroaches from the bathroom, in the refrigerator and also in the kitchen. The check in process had to be done at Santiago Backpacker, a hostel owned by the same owner, which is about 3 blocks away where the receptionist at the apartment building do not speak English but they are kind. I booked the hotel at the last minute and I got dropped off at the apartment by the airport shuttle so there was a bit of a hassle and confusion when checking in. I arrived on Xmas morning but staffs are available from the hostel to assist and they were kind enough to give me a laundry detergent as no shop was opened on Xmas day. Cleanliness is definitely a thing to improve.

We have been travelling for a while and this place was the worst so far. Place was run down and very very dirt. We stayed in as little as possible. The only good thing was the location. And to be fair the staff at the hostel where we got the keys for the apartment was very friendly.

Serviceable and convienient

The reception staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. We walked the 2 blocks to the apartment building and were shown how to access the building and apartment. It has good security. The apartment was not as appealing as the photos showed. Out dated furnishings. The carpets needed cleaning and the rooms smelt musty. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The wall heater in the lounge room did not work, but a portable heater was supplied. Convenient location a few blocks from Plaza de Armas.

Great location for just a place to rest your head

Location is great, but that's the only reason you'd stay here. Supermarket right across the street and close to Plaza de Armas, etc. Decent eateries nearby, but nothing fancy. If you're looking for a tavern, it won't be anywhere near here. Bare minimum amenities. Linens are tattered and a hodgepodge of whatever was available at the discount store. Pillows suck and mattress was tilted to one side. Shower curtain was torn and disgustingly dirty.

Housekeeping and Maintenance is Poor

We stayed here in Dec 2016. The place was dirty(dustballs in corners), the master bedroom lacked curtains or a window covering, and the furnishings were shabby and worn. The apartment is on the 22nd floor of an apartment block, but check-in and breakfast are at a youth hostel 3 blocks away. Breakfast is very basic. Location is central, but that dosen't make up for the general neglect of housekeeping and maintenance of this apartment.

Apartment is managed by a hostel located 5-10 minutes away (not a block as mentioned) which made check in and check out not smooth. A great location. Quite spacious & safe apartment. Zero service because no staff available at the premises.

Central location, great view

This was a great little apartment in Central Santiago, with an amazing view. It had separate bedrooms and kitchen/lounge so was nice having the extra space. This is pretty central but that does come with noise/not such a great neighbourhood, but that's city living. I didn't book this til the last minute so didn't get the instruction email in time, but you need to visit a hostel to check in a few mins away - not a problem, but the door person on the apartment block doesn't speak English.

Lack towels and soap!

The room was clean and big, bed quite comfy, but they never provided any towels or soap, even when I requested. Also, my friend was looking for me at their check in desk and they told her I had breakfast there and they saw me that morning, which was a complete lie! I never had breakfast there...

Great price, great location, worth the money.

Had a very pleasant stay. The 24 hrs desk was very comforting since I do not speak the language and I had some assistance I'd needed. Our contact person for the room, Ari was fantastic! ArI went above and beyond to make our check in, check out and transportation to airport very easy.

Far from outstanding

I rented one of the apartments for a couple of days. The apartment was fine, and clean as far as I saw. The dark side of this place is the breakfast and the check-in process. I only went once for breakfast because it was sub-standard, and you have to go to a different location, about 4 blocks away in an ugly place. The check-in process is confusing because the address in expedia corresponds to the location of the apartment, but the check-in process is done in a different location. Further, the reception people in the expedia address are not very professional. They try to help, but they have not been trained properly. Having said this, the apartment was OK. Actually I would go again for a lower-than-average rate because I would discount the breakfast.

Close to Plaza de Armas and Metro Station. The second bedroom had a bunk bed with two single bed one on top of the other one. There is only one bathroom which has to be shared between the 2 rooms.

It was very unsatisfactory. The furniture was broken/ close to breaking. Whenever someone showered we had to be careful coming into the hallway because water came up from the floor. The window were supported well enough. The stove didn't heat up. It took about 2 hrs for water to simply boil.

Perfect for the price

We had a nice stay; the apartment was clean and with a great view, also had a good and complete kitchen. The top floor has a swimming pool with a view of the whole of Santiago. Staff took us to the apartments and gave us advice of what to do for the night. Nothing too fancy but good value
