Beautiful Ocean View, steps to the Beach, 3 Pools, Los Almendros #31

Enjoy sunsets over the ocean from this spectacular balcony. You will be just steps from one of the best snorkeling from shore beaches in the area. This gated community has 24 hour security and is located right on Ocotal beach. This beach is typically quieter than most because we are the only development right on the beach. If you're not a beach person that is okay. You will have your choice of three pools to lounge by within Los Almendros. One of those pools sits right below our balcony.
This two bedroom two bathroom condo has everything you could possibly need. Both bedrooms have their own air conditioning and the main living area has it's own as well. The fully renovated kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare your meals or make your Pina coladas with the blender provided. It even has a breakfast bar to sit at while your home chef prepares your meals. This condo will serve as a fantastic home base while you explore everything Costa Rica has to offer. We are a 5 minute drive from the town of Coco which has everything from grocery stores, souvenir shops, restaurants, bars and plenty of night life. Our condo is just far enough away from Coco so that you won't be disturbed while you try to get a good night sleep, but close enough to Coco to access everything you might need. Many of our guests just take taxis back and forth. You can forget about going to town and eat or take in the sunset with a Mojito at the famous Father Roosters which is a beach restaurant that is less than 100 yards from the entrance to Los Almendros. If you choose to rent a car you will have your own private parking right at the condo. We love helping our guests make the most of their vacations. We can assist you with tour guide recommendations to ensure you have the best adventures and they will pick you up right at the condo. Want to do some ocean adventures....no problem we have recommendations for that as well. If you don't want to rent a car that's no problem. We can assist you in arranging airport transportation. Don't feel like cooking, no problem....we have recommendations for restaurants as well. We want our guests to have a fantastic vacation and we are more than happy to help you make that happen.

We had a wonderful stay. Mark was so helpful and easy to communicate with, easy check in process, quick response times, tons of helpful information about the area. The condo had everything we could need and was a very quick walk to a beautiful (not overcrowded beach). We saw tons of wildlife right from our balcony. Listened to the sound of the waves while we enjoyed our coffee in the morning, had beautiful sunset views. The one of the beds was very firm, this is our only complaint, even with that we would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely come back again. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay!

We stayed 5 nights. The view from the deck was lovely. We sat and watched iguanas and birds from the deck 
 and the waves rolling in on the ocean. There is also a lovely little pool right below the condo. The host was awesome. Communication from him could not have have been better. The unit kept nice and cool for a good nights sleep. Everything was comfy.We really enjoyed walking down to Roosters bar and grill on the beach. The tables set outside on the sand base, with gorgeous vegetation made for a lovely experience. Friday nights is live music, which we also really enjoyed. Why drive to go out for supper when you can walk to a lovely place to dine, a few hundred meters away.

We had an amazing time and our host, Mark was out of this world. If we have an issues, concerns or questions, he was right on it. The unit has great views and was very comfortable for the two of us. The balcony off the bedroom and living room made a great place to relax and watch the waves come in. There was everything we needed as far as kitchen supplies and beach supplies. It was so nice to have chairs and beach towels. We watched the hollowing moneys right off our balcony one morning and that was so cool. The black sand beach access wasn’t far and the smaller pool was located just below us. Most guests were very respectful of noise later in the evenings. We fell in love and will definitely be back. Great property, well equipped with everything we could possibly need, including beach towels, blanket, well stocked kitchen. Very quick walk to the beach, views are beautiful, and owner communicates quickly with any questions. Would recommend staying here!

Rest and relaxation with opportunities for adventure!

Our accommodations were ideal. The staff were helpful and the security was comforting. Two ample sized bedrooms with two bathrooms. Perfect for two couples! The kitchen was well stocked with any appliance you could want. Three pools for relaxing and it was a short walk to the beach. Loved swimming, snorkeling and kayaking or just taking a stroll. The sunsets were gorgeous! Father Rooster restaurant quickly became a favorite. I highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic location and views

Our stay at Playa Ocotal was great! The residence is just as described online and the homeowner/manager is extraordinarily helpful and very responsive to questions and comments. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/utensils/dishes. We stopped at the store upon arrival and bought basic food, drinks and snacks along with toilet paper, tissues and paper towels. The office at the condo property can arrange taxi service into town...10 to anywhere in Coco. We ate dinner at Nikkei in Coco on Christmas and the food was excellent. It's on the pricier side, but the service and food were wonderful. If mosquitos are attracted to you, don't forget your bug spray! Ocotal is quiet and good for folks who want to get away from the busy tourist areas, but it's close to Coco which offers restaurants and nightlife. The owner has a great connection to a local tour guide who can pick you up at the unit, take you on a tour all day, and drop you off at end of day. See memoadventures.com He also provided our airport pick up and drop off as we didn't rent a vehicle during our stay...and we didn't miss having access to our own rental car.

Exactly what we wanted

We spent 5 nights and had an awesome time. The unit is just as described in the listing. The development is right on Octotal Beach -- you just walk between a couple of buildings and you are on the beach. The photo in the listing is the view out the unit's window; just lovely. Mark sent us info in advance and also checked on us right after we arrived. We did scuba diving with Rocket Frog Divers in Coco which was a 10-minute drive. Great stay!

Relaxing 2 br with great sunsets

Check in was quick with onside office. They showed us our unit - all we had to do was turn on the AC. The condo is well equipped and was nice to have access to a washer and dryer. Best SUNSET view of the pacific. Swimming pool right outside our unit and the beach was very very close. The water is clear and warm. Perfect vacation condo for a family of three. Wifi - good Kitchen - good Beds - good Bathrooms - good Sunset - perfect Parking - good Restaurant next door - father roasters - good Would recommend a car!

Beautiful location!

We stayed in Marks place for a week. It was absolutely beautiful and he was by far the most helpful host I have had! The location is perfect, the condo was perfect, and Mark was a perfect host. You cannot ask for more. We heard monkeys every morning having coffee on the deck, the sunset can be taken in on the deck as well. Plenty of room for the three adults. Area is safe, and walkable we had a car but there is a small grocery near by. Very enjoyable.
