I canât write the full review due to word count. Basically there is a huge rat infestation here and itâs known about. Notified property of rat feces and our food being eaten/pooped on, they apologized and never heard from them again. We could hear the rats running along the baseboards in the bedroom where we slept. Using the toilet you can hear them behind the walls. Holes in the living room floor patched in with what looks like wire scrubber for dishes. Found a knot in the wood paneling that is not a knot but a rat hole. Found out the devices plugged into the walls in most rooms are rodent repellents â but they donât work.Place smelled like urine and feces and got worse; partner said they probably ozoned to cut the smell. Which means we probably unknowingly breathed that in. It came to a head on the early hours of the third day when we were sat on the couch and found a pair of eyes from a HUGE rat staring down at us from the loft. It ran and we investigated further. The pipe that goes into the bathroom runs into the loft and up. Rats accessing it. There was half inch rat poop and feces up in the loft. The pipe is by the bed so if you slept up there you are going to get rats on you and possibly bit. Something ran by us and I let out a bloodcurdling scream which made the cabin come alive. Noises from the loft, the stairwell by the bathroom, roof/ceiling, etc. You could hear them running in droves. We packed our stuff and left immediately for a hotel.
Amazing location in the woods, not too far from either town. It was cozy and just what we we're looking for. However, I would have liked curtains on the windows for evening privacy.
This neighborhood is a beautiful, quiet getaway. We loved the house, did some great hiking and had some great dinners. We enjoyed this peaceful neighborhood. Thank you for having us!
The property is nice. Needs some updating. The down stairs bed is not good if you have back problems. Wish there was a grill in the backyard. Other than these things, it is a good Vaca spot .
