Great location, don't expect communication from host
This is a comfortable house in a great location in Sewanee. No complaints about the house itself. Just don't expect much communication from the host's representative. I finally had to call them when we arrived (an hour after the check-in time) to get the entry code.
We literally wanted for nothing while staying here! The house is equipped with everything we could have ever needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are well-appointed and recently updated. Sadly, the back deck was covered in snow and ice while we stayed there, so we couldnât use it. However, it is a fantastic amenity! We would definitely stay there again.
Great house with hard to beat location and everything you need
This is a very comfortable and well appointed house that is close to everything on the Sewanee campus. It sleeps 6 easily and would be great for a group or family visiting campus for a tour or big weekend. While the weather was snowy this trip, the outdoor area would be great in nice weather. Weâll definitely check availability when we are headed to visit again.
Great location near Abboâs Alley, and fabulous backyard. Plenty of space for our family of 4 while we were in town for Trustee meetings. Whatâs a bit odd is that the listing doesnât mention that this is a duplex and the backyard is shared. Whoever lives in the other side of the duplex woke us up making noises around 4am, and we just felt unsettled in the house because we were under the impression weâd rented the whole house but because of shared walls it was more like a hotel room. That nothing was mentioned was sketchy. Also, I had to essentially beg several times to get check-in instructions, which werenât sent until half an hour after the stated check-in time. No hard feelings, but we will stay at other rental properties on campus in the futureâ we felt more like an inconvenience here than welcome guests.
We loved this house. Itâs so cute, well decorated and stocked. It felt like being a guest in someoneâs home. Bed were comfy as well. Loved the location. All around pleasant.
Great location decorated with unique Sewanee memorabilia!
Great location, central to all Sewanee has to offer. Communication with owner prior to arrival was nonexistent. Seven plus messages, voicemails and no response. VRBO also reached out to the owner and still no response. We wanted to add one night at the end of our stay but were unable to do so as could not get the owner to respond. Two days prior to check in we had to ask for the key code and WiFi as none had been provided. Personally I prefer communication when I am paying to rent!
We really enjoyed our stay! House was clean, comfortable, well equipped, close to everything and had a great porch and fire pit area! Have already booked again for a future stay!
Trillium Ranch was a perfect choice for our college visit to Sewanee with our teenage grandson. My husband graduated from Sewanee and we usually return to the mountain for major events, so being able to stay on campus was a treat - everything was within walking distance. The house is thoughtfully appointed with terrific outdoor spaces, and the beds are comfortable. We will stay there again!
We loved the trillium ranch and was perfect for what we needed this weekend! Very nice place. Just note the master shared a bathroom with one of the guest rooms and the bunk room has its own bathroom, rather than the conventional master having its own bath. There was also no soap in the bathroom. Other than that, the place was comfortable, stocked with needed items and a great location! So central to everything on campus
Really enjoyed our stay! This house is convenient to all things in and around the campus/area. Very clean, plenty of room, beautiful furnishings and the kitchen has everything you need.
