Oceanfront! Otter's Den A Coastal Retreat at Raven's Roost

Let the sounds of the ocean waves welcome you to this relaxing oasis located directly on the beach. Watch for whales, otters, sea lions and eagles while enjoying your morning coffee or in the evening as you unwind from all your adventures of the day.

The living room is comfortably set up to relax with cable tv, a Blu-Ray player with a selection of movies or just watch the ocean activity right outside the front door.
The large open kitchen is well equipped with top quality essentials to prepare your meals, we provide basic spices, coffee, tea and cocoa.
The one bedroom has a queen size memory foam mattress with comfortable bedding waiting for you to relax and listen to the sounds of the ocean just outside the window.

For adventure, explore the tidal pools at low tide or fish from the rocks right outside your door. Use the kayak to tour the shoreline or cross the channel to paddle around the islands. And, as the night winds down build a fire in the pit at the waters edge to watch the boats return and the sunset.

Whether it's a gorgeous sunny day or a stormy Sitka day, the Otter's Den is the perfect place to build your lasting Alaskan Memories.

Beautiful Waterfront

This is our second time staying at this beautiful waterfront house. The views are so spectacular. Eagles flying all around are just so majestic to see. Katy is a wonderful host. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect getaway

My husband and I traveled to spend approx 5 days in Sitka. The property was very spacious. I loved sitting outside and watching/listening to the water. One morning we saw sea lions! Bed was comfortable, kitchen had every amenity we could have asked for. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to friends!

Exceptional location on the water

The location is fantastic, right on the water with tide pooling outside the door and bald eagles catching fish. The house is modern and thoughtful with a great kitchen and views throughout.

Sitka waterfront perfection

Beautiful location on the water about 4 miles north of downtown Sitka. We rented the ground floor space contained in a large 3 level house. It’s perfect for 2 people. Kitchen is adequately equipped and we appreciated that there were some cooking essentials like olive oil and spices. Sitka has limited dining options so being able to prepare food is a must. The owners live next door and are very responsive...when the internet connection went down Katy had it back up within an hour. We love Sitka and will definitely rent this place again the next time we travel there.

Great place to stay when enjoying Sitka, its people, and its natural beauty

Firstly, I almost never give 5 stars. 5 are reserved for luxury accommodations that turned out perfectly. That said, my wife and I very much enjoyed staying at the Raven's Roost. The views were wonderful. The place was clean and nicely furnished. There was coffee and a nice assortment of teas and herbal teas for us to enjoy as much as we wanted. Even wine !! All worked perfectly, no problems or need to call for service ever. There was even instructions for using the cable TV. I generally always figure these out, but for those with little time, the instructions are very nicely done. I would recommend Raven's Roost to any of my friends, and we would also stay there again ourselves. 4.5+++

Absolutely Wonderful Stay!

First of all, the pictures are beautiful, but the nothing like being there in person - the view is simply breathtaking. We completely enjoyed our visit and all the special little things Katy did to make us feel welcome: The bottle of wine, chocolates made in Alaska, an extremely useful binder she put together with all the information you may need, and more. There are a few items that you can use for cooking, and everything is clean and in wonderful shape. I must tell you that the bed and pillows are AWESOME!! I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well and I am going to order the pillows she has on the bed - absolute heaven. Katy and her husband are warm, inviting , and very kind. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

Raven's Roost Lower is located right on the water with beautiful ocean views. The apartment is very comfortable and in a quiet location. Kitchen is well supplied with most everything that is needed. We cooked several of our meals and watched the ocean as we ate. The owner's live close by and are very nice people, who are very helpful. We will definitely return to Raven's Roost.

A beautiful home away from home.

We spent two weeks at Raven Roost, and loved it. The views out the windows are amazing, the wildlife in the ocean, otters, sea lions, whale, eagles, ravens, mink, were so fun to watch. Very different from life in Texas. The apartment was immaculate and very tasteful. We enjoyed it greatly and would definitely stay here again. Katy and Jack have done a wonderful job.

Charming rental with views to die for!!

Everything about this place was perfect. Great location, great owners, easy communication. I was provided with enough information to operate all the electronics. I appreciated the privacy I was afforded. I got sick on this trip and it was a great place to curl up with a fuzzy warm blanket and watch the wildlife out the windows. I saw eagles, otters, ducks, whales, boats, planes, kayakers...it was wonderful!! Grocery shopping and restaurants nearby.

Perfection!

We had an incredible 5 day stay. The rental is well appointed with much attention to details. The location is perfect; you can’t get any closer to the ocean. We enjoyed watching sea otters and various birds each morning while eating breakfast. Finally, on the last day, WHALES! We will be back! This is a very nice place in an exceptional location.

We’d love to stay here again. If there is a better view, I don’t know of it. Everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed comfortable. Everything you need for an adventure in Sitka can be found here!

Hands down the nicest VRBO property we've rented.

We had an amazing time staying at Raven's Roost. I've rented several properties through VRBO and have always found the pictures posted by the property owners fail to accurately represent the rental. Not so in this case. If anything, they underestimate the beauty of this location. You will not be disappointed.
