Very nice , clean , cozy rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast and dinner. Also you can request about alert call at night if Northern Lights appears. We experienced in one night.
Thank you guys. You are the best
We had requested a twin room, but arrived later than expected and got a full size bed. The room was extremely small and difficult to move around in due to the size. It was clean and the staff were lovely. Dinner was on the pricier end, but it was some of the best chicken I’ve possibly ever had!
Very good location, good service, in-house and nearby restaurant and gas station.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Clean but very dated. Welcome to 1976. Food at gas station/grocery store was good burger and fish were great! Matters was awful. The springs were coming thru the mattress. So painful!!
Great spot, staff super friendly/helpful. They will even give you a northern lights wake up call. Only down side is there isn’t much in the area so it’s a bit on the pricier side. But still worth it!
Our room was very clean. The front desk worker was very friendly and efficient. We found it to be very overpriced for the room. We paid over $400 for one night. Since there were no other choices for restaurants that we found, we ate at the hotel. Our food was very good, but again, very expensive. We paid over $200 for our meal, that included two entrees, one drink each, and we shared a small dessert. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The view from the window was of the glacier, so that was a bonus! Parking was plentiful and easy.
Really lovely staff and decent rooms. Breakfast was included. The prices in the restaurant are a bit higher than we expected even for iceland, but everyone was very nice. 4 stars just for cost, but a great place to stay when you're exploring the area.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was great. The staff was pleasant. Our room smelled like a campfire and we could here the whole conversation for a couple of hours of the couple above us.
We arrived a little earlier than check-in time. No receptionist was there. The old lady receptionist was called to show up. She was not pleased and very rude.
Terrific on site restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. The location is very convenient and close to many beautiful stops.

Disliked: Staff & service
The rooms are very cramped and the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbours murmuring.
The most disappointing was the service from the old lady at the front desk. She gave the worst instructions as to how to get to the glaciers behind the property. She also claimed that there was no way to drive to the glacier for a quicker walk when Google Map said otherwise. We lost about an hour of our precious travel time because we took the wrong turn at the fork behind the property. If you want to see the glaciers, take the left turn. But it is faster to drive.

Room was clean but very cramped. No tissues, no washcloths. Breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing special.
This is the best hotel we found in Iceland. It is more expensive, but worth it. Excellent restaurant in the hotel. Also good food at the Bistro near the Activity Center. The rooms have lots of space, with large showers.
