This charming escape for 6 is part of the Casa Mare holiday village on Platamona Beach in northwestern Sardinia.

The apartment benefits from extensive outside space, including a separate gazebo in the garden. Guests also enjoy direct access to the sea, making this an ideal holiday option for groups of friends or families seeking a relaxing beach holiday.

Situated on the first floor, the apartment is accessed via an outdoor staircase and consists of a cosy sitting room with a sofa, a fireplace and a flat-screen TV. The separate kitchen/diner is light and airy thanks to large windows. The bright kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker, an induction hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. The dining table can seat 6 people, and there is also a small seating area with a coffee table.

The gazebo in the garden serves as an extension to the main living area. This wooden octagonal features a large open-plan room, fitted with a simple kitchen, a dining table and chairs, two sofas and a TV.

The owners have taken as much care with the gardens as they have with the interiors. The partly shaded lawn has 4 sunbeds and a swing-seat, as well as a BBQ and outdoor bar for evenings al fresco.

Bedroom 1: The elegant master bedroom has a French double bed, a TV, a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom.

Bedroom 2: The second bedroom has a single bed with a pull-out single bed and a wardrobe.

Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathroom 1: The attractively tiled en suite bathroom is appointed with a shower, basin and WC.

Bathroom 2: The separate bathroom has a shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Extra: There is an additional outdoor (covered) shower room with a shower and WC.

Location
Sardinia’s north-western coast is less developed than the better-known Costa Smeralda, but there is a lot to see and do close by.

The apartment is only a 5-minute walk from Platamona Beach. Here, guests can enjoy the wide sandy beach and pristine water, as well as surfing for more active holidaymakers. There is also a long cycle path which can be used for jogging too.

Guests will find a supermarket, bar and a pizzeria just 200 metres from the house. Alternatively, the town of Sorso (10 minutes) has all the amenities guests might need: ATM, supermarket, pharmacies, etc. To the west is Porto Torres (10 minutes), where the weekly market (Tuesday morning) is the place to pick up the freshest local ingredients. If you miss that, then there are 3 supermarkets in the town for your daily needs.

Just 25 minutes up the coast is Castelsardo, considered one of the ‘100 Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’. The village gets its name from Doria Castle, which dominates the clifftop and is in excellent condition. Exploring the winding streets and enjoying the local restaurants make a rewarding day out.

Alghero airport is 40 minutes away. If you are coming by ferry, there is a direct service from Porto Torres to Marseille in France.
