The fridge didnât work. Initially we thought it had been turned off but 2nd day we turned temp up (takes 24 hours), 3rd day we called owner who said they werenât aware of problem (but they knew the ice maker wasnât working because they had ice trays in freezer, but they did call property manager and Laura (from onsite office) went above & beyond to get a repair person in that day. of course a part (new fan motor I believe) had to be ordered. It was repaired, finally, on Friday, and lo and behold that fixed the ice maker, too, we left Saturday. We had to throw all the food in the fridge away and had to eat all our meals out. Not an apology or any kind of compensation from owner. Plus, the pool heater didnât work because, we were told, it was too cold at night (was in 30âs 2 nights) so pool was so cold it was unusable, but the pool at the resort our family was staying at was wonderfully warm so we had to go there everyday. The only reason we came to Pier Point South was because the pool was supposed to be heated as swimming is how I exercise. The unit was nice & comfortable, the location was superb, we loved being able to walk to Island Bagels & Donuts (the best weâve ever had, anywhere) and Sunset Grille, Crabbyâs and other restaurants.
