Attached to a private villa, a personal parking area at your exclusive entryway, on their own level and your very private Panorama balcony, all work together to create the island home that is yours all alone.

The open floor plan boasts dining and living areas with large ceiling fans and a full service kitchen with gas range, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker & toaster, new, custom-made cabinets holding an array of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, basic spices and more, to facilitate cooking. Enjoy internet, WI-FI, cable, "smart" TV, and a very private balcony with BBQ & furniture all overlooking your Panorama View. The master suite boasts a quiet A/C, a queen size, Tempurpedic, bed; en-suite bathroom with dual vanity sinks, a walk in glass enclosed shower, separate commode room for privacy, built in full capacity washer and dryer and a safe for your valuables storage.
To top it off, HAPPY PLACE, in 2019 invested in the "TESLA POWERWALL" Solar System, creating clean, renewable, power from the sun, which virtually eliminates the frustration of the island's common power outages. This alternative to fossil fuels benefits our environment, lessening our carbon footprint by reducing greenhouse gases.

HAPPY PLACE is exclusively yours, from your personal parking area off of the main drive to the master suite, kitchen, dining and living rooms and your private patio.

We will contact you before your travel to coordinate a meeting upon your arrival. We can help with your rental car if needed Lead you to the house and give you an indoctrination at Happy Place. We are always available should any problem arise during your stay.

HAPPY PLACE IS Less than a mile from Cruz Bay where you can catch ferries to other islands, enjoy some great restaurants and bars, markets for food and necessities shopping, mail services, nail salons, coffee and cappuccino stand, and more. Other beaches and restaurants on the island are convenient as well since St. John is only about 13 miles long.

We recommend renting a car for your entire stay on St. John. The island is two-thirds national park. There are 35 beaches, countless trails and vistas to explore. The public transportation being very limited, your visit to paradise will be greatly enhanced with the freedom to explore our beautiful island, that is afforded by having your own car. Public parking is free throughout the island and at sites in the park. In Cruz Bay, free parking and ample pay parking, at a nominal rate, is always available.

The Happy Place was wonderful. It was clean, well stocked, and had a beautiful view. Although it is up in the hills, getting there was not difficult after we were shown the way. We were met at Cruze Bay upon arrival. One evening there was a road closure at the road on our familiar route. We called Dennis and he navigated us home. The bed was comfortable, and the TV worked well. We watched a Kansas University basketball game and the winter olympics. Hopefully we can return someday.

The host was very welcoming. He met us at our jeep rental facility and we followed him to Happy Place. He showed us around and explained how everything worked and where it was. The amenities are excellent and we had everything we needed. But the most amazing aspect of being at Happy Place is the view! It is breathtaking. Well worth the harrowing drive to it. You definitely need a vehicle if you choose this amazing place to stay. I would 100% stay there again.

Happy Place

This was our 2nd trip to STJ but our 1st time staying in Cruz Bay. Happy Place is located in a perfect location, easy access to the all that Cruz Bay offers as well as being removed from the noise and " traffic". The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. Henry, the property manager, met us at our Jeep rental location so that we could follow him to the property. Overall a great place to stay!

Amazing getaway

My husband and I stayed at Happy Place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful villa for two people! Dennis was very helpful with getting us to our jeep and to show us around the villa. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we will never forget the memories!

We Love Happy Place

Lovely St John

Our stay was great. Will likely return to the Happy Place. Convenient to Cruz Bay. Views were great. The rental was very comfortable with many solid amenities. Loved the washer/dryer and the shower. This was our 11th trip to St. John and we always enjoy our stay, although the Island seemed quite busy this time.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful week at The Happy Place. Had everything we needed. View was wonderful and the two deck doors offered wonderful night and day views. The location was very convenient to town. We drove to beaches and hiking and utilized taxis or walking to hang out in Cruz Bay as parking limited. Our host was very communicative and gave us great tips for driving around, eating, etc. Neighborhood was great for walking as I took walks every morning before exploring for the day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great week at "Happy Place"

We had a great week at Happy Place! Our flight getting in was delayed but Becki was so helpful in guiding our way to the villa, despite many changes in our plans! The unit was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The Happy Place Guide that was sent to us in advance of our trip was filled with helfpul information and we referenced it regularly throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to St. John!

Awesome!!

We really enjoyed staying at Estate Bethany! In the past we’ve stayed on Coral Bay side which is pretty far from Cruz bay. This rental was SO close to all the great restaurants of Cruz Bay and is much closer to the main beaches. The villa is set up perfectly for a couple. We will definitely be back! Also, our contact Henry was very quick to respond and answered all questions we had. Awesome experience!

Great place for a couple

We enjoyed our week at Happy Place. The view is enjoyable both day and night, the unit was clean and very well equipped, and communication with Henry, the property manager, was excellent. The extensive online guide that we received well ahead of our visit was very helpful. The driveway is narrow and steep, but that is the norm on the island for roads as well as driveways. If you are planning to drive on the island, you will have to deal with narrow and steep! Cell service on the island is spotty, but we had reception at the unit. The WiFi was adequate, but sometimes a bit sluggish, which might not be unusual for the island. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect Place for Two!

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Place in St. John. The communication was great throughout the entire trip. When we arrived someone was waiting for us at the ferry to make sure we were situated with our rental car and to show us to the Happy Place. Just a short drive to Cruz Bay, it’s in the perfect location to enjoy the nightlife but to easily escape as well. The driveway was easy to park in and there was a perfect turn around just a few feet up the road which isn’t always the case on St John. It has a private entrance from the driveway making it feel a bit more secluded than other properties. This place is great for two people looking for a well equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and breathtaking views. We were rained out for one day on the island and it’s one of those places where you don’t mind hanging around, cooking burgers on the porch, and having a couple cocktails. Another plus was the vacuum in the closet, after a lot of beach days we were able to clean our car before returning it. The entire place seemed to have everything we needed for a relaxing and easy getaway.

Everything about Happy Place was fantastic! The location, amenities, views, and serenity were exactly as described. Henry was great with communication, local tips, and taking care of our needs. Great Location, Great Unit, Great Management!

Great location with easy access to town, and great view. Probably the most well appointed Kitchen we have ever stayed in. Communication with the manager was super easy, and super friendly. We have stayed in this area before, but this is the first time in this unit. We loved it. Don't anybody book October, we're headed back! Jeff & Bonnie.

Amazing View

The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The view from the balcony was spectacular! It was a bit unnerving driving up the narrow, steep hill to the property, but , as I said----the view was worth it. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom shower was nice & big. The 2 cats who visited were a nice bonus!

The Perfect Getaway

We stayed at the “Happy Place” last summer for a week. It was the perfect spot. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. The views from the porch were top notch. We loved waking up to have our morning coffee on the porch. Henry, the property manager, was great and went above and beyond for us! It was truly an unforgettable trip!

Happy to Stay Here Anytime!

Overall it was a very pleasant stay at the Happy Place. Good location. View is awesome. Unit is very well equipped. Not as refined as some of the other places I've stayed on the Island but certainly very nice especially since it was less expensive than the others. Highlights: View. Close to town. A/C in bedroom. Nice shower. Has pretty much everything you need. TV comes with premium channels. Kitties to feed if you like animals :) Lowlights: Need a good beach umbrella (the chair mounted ones there don't work). Could use a new sofa (getting a bit tired) but not a huge deal. Could use a higher qualify mattress but I'm very picky so you may be fine with it. If you need A/C in the main room/kitchen then you will not be happy here - I was totally fine with it and actually enjoyed the fresh air / breezes.
