This property is a great location and an adorably decorated little house. The beds were extremely comfortable, the dock and lily pad were lovely.
When it came to the cleanliness of the house, the bedrooms and living area seemed good. The bathroom downstairs had long, dark hairs on the floor and rugs, as well as a lot of dead flies and hair on the windowsill. The kitchen also had a lot of dead flies on the windowsill. There were also potato chips, spiderwebs, and other debris on the floor when we arrived. We swept the floor once we got there, as well as before we left. All of the dishes, except for glasses, had to be washed before use due to being dirty. Several pans and utensils had dried eggs still on them. Lots of spiderwebs inside and outside. Wasp nest on the stair railing, my son was almost stung. No coffee filters, coffee, or laundry detergent.
I contacted the property manager before leaving a review to let them know of the issues. They responded and offered a partial refund of the $250 cleaning fee. Over a week later and I still have not received a refund, so I sent a message. I heard nothing back in 24 hours, so I let them know that I needed a response in 24 hours, or I would have to leave a review based on the unresolved issues, as VRBO had given me 2 days to leave a review. I was then accused of retaliation. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO's over the years and NEVER had issues with any of them. This Property Manager leaves much to be desired.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was great. Dock was perfect for a large group! The house was nice, too. Parking worked out but was tight. My only grief was there were a lot of bugs in the house. I think an annual exterminator would do the trick!
Looks exactly like the pictures. Parking was very tight. Pool was not open and looks like it hadnât been opened in a long time. Swimming right off the dock was just enough for us to enjoy. Also, the stairs to the bedrooms wouldnât be for everyone.
I stayed at this property with my husband, sister and 2 friends (all 30+) over the long 4th of July weekend. This property is great and looked just like the photos. Having 2 bathrooms on separate levels was nice for a group. The best part of the house is the private dock and multiple decks. You can have coffee on the top deck right off of the bedrooms in the morning, bbq and cook on the 2nd deck off of the kitchen and then hang out at night on the third deck on the lake level. The dock having a table and really nice ladder made for a very relaxing weekend. Our group hung out there 90% of the time. Home was close to some good bars (Paradise and Frank & Louieâs were less than 10 minutes), and fireworks could be seen from the dock at night from across the water. The only issue we had was the listing showing a pool. We rented the home specifically for that, but it was closed. A little disappointed to not be told that in advance or given notice at or after booking. There were also a lot of bugs, but that seems to be the norm for waterfront properties so that was not terrible, just something to note. Overall still giving 5 stars for a lovely home, waterfront access, private dock, communication, easy check in and out and the home having towels, toiletries, pots and pans, etc. all provided. Thank you for letting us rent your home! We would love to come back :)
Beautiful home. Very clean and well decorated. They have so many amenities (many that are not described on the site) that makes the trip so much fun. I asked the managment company if the house has life hackets for swimming off the dock. They said no. The property had about 10 life jackets. Large float pad for swimming, portable speaker for the deck or dock. Kitchen is well stocked for all kinds of meal prep.
Overall, fantastic little spot to get away.
