Steps from the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful beach dunes of Sunset Beach is our 2nd floor Studio which has Ocean Views from our front porch bench. Inside, we have all the basic & functional accommodations for short/mid/long term travelers looking for an affordable place to stay on the beautiful island of Sunset Beach! Please send an inquiry if you are looking for a month or longer stay and I can provide discounted rate options. The Continental Motel was the first Motel in Sunset Beach.

Extras with Parking

We did not commit soon enough to join family at a rental house, but enjoyed meals and time on the beach with them being only 3 blocks away! Unit is well fitted with everything we needed. Might add some mini moos for those of us who like creamer in their coffee.

Great Location

The room was clean and comfortable and quiet (you could not hear others in the hotel). Location was awesome, just steps away from the beach as well as supplies, bike rentals, the fishing pier. First time to Sunset Beach and definitely not our last. Beautiful location.

I really liked the proximity to walk to the pier and beach as it was on the island. Also the planetarium and Zipline park were just a very short drive back inland.

All was great. Location was perfect. The owner was amazing. Very nice and helpful, and great communication. I would definitely book again. Only complaint is I got a note on my windsheild stating I needed a parking pass or my car would be towed, but my pass was sitting right there in the window. I couldnt hang it so I laid it in on the dash. Before they put notes they need to check the dash. Of course this had nothing to do with the owner, it was the property management.

Great getaway

The room has been recently updated and was very clean and tastefully decorated for the beach. The owner has obviously put time and thought into the renovation. The extra touches also made it nice; pool noodles, games, not only for the room on a rainy day ,but also a game for on the beach and a beach umbrella. The owner was so kind and prompt in responding when I needed some last minute information. The view is perfect for sitting on the bench in the evening and people watching. As close to the beach as you can get, just cross at the corner. I would definitely recommend this place.

Long weekend getaway

This is not a super fancy place but was so perfect for our long weekend visit! It was very fresh and clean, offered just the right amenities, and bed and shower/water pressure did not disappoint. We appreciated the breeze from the ocean and distance to the Island Market and pier.

This is an incredible find, a step back in time (1970’s)when life was much more simple. Such an easy walk to the beach. My favorite thing: the screen door on the unit. The screen door allowed me to open the door and hear, see and feel the ocean breeze!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations!

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was very clean, the communication with the host was exceptional, and the proximity to the beach was incredible. You're going to have to leave the island to eat, but I think that is one of the things that makes this place great. There's not much commercial traffic so it helps cut down on the number of vehicles. The beaches are so beautiful! Miles of coastline in each direction. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great little get away!

This was an end of summer trip for my sister & I to spend a couple of days relaxing on the beach together. I almost didn't want to do a review just to keep this place a secret! We loved the room, the other people that live/stay at the motel, the beach. It was just a great trip and I know we'll be back again next year.
