The photos online made the hotel look a lot nicer than it is. The paint job in the room was sloppy and incomplete, the furniture old, mismatched, and not in good condition. The towels were old, worn, mismatched. Aside from that, it was clean.
I had booked 2 nights but left first thing after the first night. Shortly after 8am I rang the bell at the office to return the key. No one answered the door, so I left the key in a metal pouch by the door and sent an email to the email address sent to me when I booked. I asked for a refund for the second night. I got zero response. I sent a second email later, and I still haven't heard back.
Poor quality hotel and poor customer service. I recommend that people stay in a nicer budget hotel on the outskirts of Phoenix.
Positives: clean, allowed early check-in, comfortable bed, nice sized fridge/freezer, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shop next door
Negatives: overpriced, shower needs updating,
Overall impression: definitely a 2-star accommodation, okay for 1-2 nights if all you want is a place to sleep, I would stay again if they lowered the price.
Definitely will not stay there again. Room was poor. AC and refrigerator didnât work. Towels were old and ragged. Only hot water worked in the bathroom sink and shower. Missing tile pieces and cardboard covered the window. Mattress very old and linens very old. Couldnât shower faucet was broken.
The CMM is located roadside in a small, historic mining town at the entrance to a narrow canyon where the major road snakes its way up to Miami and Globe. CMM is small, the rooms are modest, and the outside is gravelled. Nonetheless, it is spick-and-span clean with fresh towels, immaculate sheets, a small side room with a table desk for laptop work, and a room air conditioner second to none. CMM is surprisingly quiet and well-known and popular with traveling workers in the region. I was very pleased with my stay.
