Hot Tub, Views, Outdoor Oasis
As featured on A&Eâs Living Smaller (Episode 8), the Tiny Geopod offers a unique and upscale experience for the nature loving adventurer. Have it both ways with a retreat in nature & a 5 minute walk to historic Todd or 20 min drive to Boone & W.Jefferson. Enjoy the Tiny Pod and outdoor spaces with hot tub, fire table, gazebo and comfy outdoor furniture. Cook in the Pod's outdoor kitchen (NOTE: kitchen modified during winter) or grill. Relax & refresh while experiencing the joy of tiny living!
The Tiny Geopod was designed and built with the vision for simple yet comfortable living that supports a deep connection with nature and a smaller footprint on the planet. The meticulously designed 130 square foot Tiny Geopod makes use of every inch and lacks for nothing.
With the small interior footprint, the majority of the space is dedicated to three truly magical outdoor areas. The outdoor main deck is equipped with a breakfast bar area, gas fire pit, and seating area to relax and enjoy nature in. The second outdoor space brings you even further among the trees, accentuating the winter views of the mountains. Read a good book, take a nap, or enjoy the view of the trees while relaxing on the outdoor patio furniture or relax in the hot tub after a nice day of hiking. The third space is a unique outdoor kitchen (Note: this space is partially functional during winter - see details below) and bathroom space. Cook delicious meals on the cute small gas stove top or grill to your heart's content on the stainless 3 burner gas grill. You can expect to see birds, deer, and other wildlife about while you enjoy the outdoors.
The Tiny Geopod itself was built with all the essentials and packaged into a cozy, comfortable, and retreat-like space. With an emphasis on sustainability, the Geopod is powered from the nearby community solar garden and guests can reduce waste by recycling and composting on the property. A well equipped kitchen (Note: details on modified partially functional kitchen during winter/late spring below), unique high end bathroom, convertible working/dining area, and a comfy sleeping space with cozy sheets are a few of the features. Use the high speed wifi to watch a movie on your laptop or tablet while relaxing after a day of exploring. A coffee and tea bar, along with shampoos/soaps are just a few of the other amenities provided.
Note on modified kitchen (during winter/ early spring when freezing temps occur): The kitchen faucet will be shut off during this time but water can be obtained from the sink in the fully functional heated bathroom. During this time, disposable plates/cutlery will be provided and the grill, with provided grilling tools, can be used for cooking. A French coffee press, water kettle, and coffee/creamer/sugar will also be provided. You YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO POTS OR PANS for the stove since there isn't a good way to wash them.
As our first couples getaway, the geopod experience was perfect! It was a private little spot dispite being very closeTo the road below. The hot tub was a relaxing way to spend the evening. Very close to the heart of boone with great restaurants, bars and shopping. The perfect ambiance!
I took my boyfriend to the geopod for a nice getaway for his 30th birthday. The dome is far enough from people to enjoy nature but a fairly quick 20 minute drive to Boone for great restaurants and bars. The geopod was a comfy stay with a beautiful view. The stairs were a bit hard to see with the leaves but led to the privacy of the doom. The bathroom was located next to the outdoor kitchen space that was well stocked with supplies including a corkscrew for sipping win by the fire pit. It was a lovely view and stay. We will be back.
The perfect weekend getaway! Everything was very clean! It was super easy to check in and is close to Boone for shopping and food. Itâs the perfect place to disconnect, relax and enjoy time with your spouse. We canât wait to come back!
This place was adorable! We loved the unique geopod for sleeping, and the tiny "house" that held the kitchen and bathroom was clean and easy to use. The kitchen is not heavily stocked, but easily had everything that we needed to cook a bunch of meals! Having the grill was excellent. We took trips out to a couple of wineries and breweries during our stay, which sometimes was about a 45 minute drive, but the drive was so beautiful that we just considered it part of the experience. Coming back to the property each day to cook dinner and relax by the fire table or in the hot tub (which was very clean) was lovely. Tip: start the hot tub heating up as soon as you get there, because it does take a bit to get up to temperature. All in all, we majorly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any couple looking for a relaxing getaway.
