The staff were great, warm helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed at Hotel Sunroute Ginza many times before, but this time it was a bit disappointing. The room during check in wasn’t completely clean — there were a few strands of hair in the toilet. The room also shows signs of decay; mould was growing on the walls. However the next day after cleaning it was better (I appreciate the daily thorough cleaning as opposed to minimal housekeeping in other hotels). Another minor issue was the lack of a smart TV (so I couldn’t log on to my Netflix account). I love the location of this property and i really hope they gradually upgrade their rooms to keep up with the wear and tear.

The staff were very efficient and helpful. The elevators were very slow and often full, so it was a bit inconvenient coming and going. Our room was fine and had essential amenities. Layout of the room was not as efficient as other hotel rooms of similar size I've stayed in, so it was a bit of a challenge accessing our luggage (2 carry-on rolling suitcases). This is a fine hotel someone looking for a budget hotel in the area, but there was nothing in particular to recommend.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast service started at 6:00 am which was great. Most restaurants in the area don’t open until 10:30 or 11:00. We ate at many restaurants near the hotel for lunch. All were great. The train and subway lines were convenient but the stairs into the station got difficult after a week. Use escalators when you can. You’ll get enough walking. There are two coin laundries within walking distance of the hotel, so you can bring fewer clothes. Our room was a good size for a Japanese hotel. They do have bigger rooms but we didn’t need more space. Housekeeping keep the room spotless. We would stay there again.

We have stayed at Sunroute Shinjuku and Sunroute Ginza is not even close to Sunroute Shinjuku. Lobby is tiny. Carpet does not look very clean, especially the edges - lot of dust/dirt. One of the male staff at front desk is rude.Did not get his name but said he is from Myanmar. The rest of the staff are friendly and polite. Most like stay in Shinjuku Sunroute in the future.

Basic hotel in great convenient Ginza location. Staff was extremely helpful with everything we needed. By U.S. standards, rooms are very small with no closets. The wall between the bathroom and bedroom has a long translucent that was lets a lot of light into the room when somebody uses the bathroom in the middle of the night potentially waking others in the room.
