Value and location

Prices are so high in Vancouver, we worried that we would be slumming at the Park Inn. However, we found the staff to be very accommodating, the room rather small but comfy and clean, and the location wonderful. We walked to Granville Island, took the water taxi across and then walked all the way to Stanley Park. Decent restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and a stunning panorama of Vancouver from our sixth-floor (odd-number) room. Knocked stars off the review only for the street noise. So bad on 6, can't imagine how it was on lower floors. Building is a little older and lacking in soundproofing. But overall we were very comfortable and satisfied. Oh, and nice big TV and bed!

Good location, close to downtown, Granville market

Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely folks! Close taxi ride to good locations, pleasant walk (if a little uphill) from train station (from/to airport) to hotel.

Great Place to Stay

Pros: Cleanliness and quiet.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: We were able to walk to local stores and restaurants. This hotel is centrally located within the city. Easy access.
We stayed a total of 4 days. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was excellent. Restaurant available on premises so we ate breakfast and dinner there. I would recommend this for your stay in Vancouver. Centrally located in the city. Safe parking available. Drug store open 24 hrs. across the street that carries anything you might need.

We'd stay again.

Cons: the extra folding bed is horrendous.
This hotel was in good shape - but obviously not new. The staff is very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. The dining room is not where you want to plan on having your meals - not a great selection, but okay for snacks. There are restaurants across the street. The best thing about the hotel is that it is affordable but not a 'cheap hotel', meaning you can feel good about being there with your family and still afford to have fun in the city. If you enjoy a walk, the train station is not too far. A nice starting point to see Vancouver.

Very Nice Hotel

We stayed here in July 2010 and found the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast at the Market Cafe was delicious and very generous - didn't eat other meals here. Hotel desk staff were very helpful, especially when asking directions to attractions. Rooms had modern comfortable furniture and lots of towels, parking garage was attached to hotel. WiFi worked fine. The only problem we encountered was noise from the street and ambulances (we were on the water side).

GOOD VALUE/GOOD LOCATION

STAYED 4 DAYS IN VANCOUVER FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE CITY. HOTEL LOCATION WAS HANDY FOR US, WALKING DISTANCE TO GRANVILLE ISLAND, VIEW OF DOWNTOWN SPECTACULAR, LOADS OF GOOD RESTAURANTS ALL AROUND. FRIENDLY STAFF, HELPED WITH DIRECTIONS, DINNER SUGGESTIONS & RESERVATIONS, BOOKED US A TOUR WHICH WAS FANTASTIC. ROOMS ARE NICE, VERY CLEAN. HOTEL IS NOT TOO BIG AND YOU FEEL LIKE THE STAFF KNOW YOU AND THEY ARE GREAT ABOUT MAKING SUGGESTIONS AND FOLLOWING UP WITH US ABOUT HOW OUR DAY WENT. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS AS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY.
