The space was comfortable and generally pleasant. However, the suite did not have Wi-Fi, even though it was advertised at the time of booking through Expedia, which was very disappointing. There were very few power outlets near the beds, the handheld showerhead was broken, and there was no air conditioning. Additionally, the kettle had heavy calcium buildup, making it unusable.
This property gets the big things right - it's spacious, is well-situated (close to public transit), and close to useful amenities (groceries, restaurants, etc.), although it could be quite a bit cleaner (our baby's knees and feet turned grey/black just crawling/toddling around).Where the property really struggled is in communications with the "owner" and upholding of their commitments. The owner/property manager (Camelotels) immediately added me on WhatsApp, claiming it was a streamlined mechanism for communicating. I didn't want to send scans of my passport over that platform, so I shared what I needed to send through the VRBO inbox, but clearly the people reading the VRBO inbox and the WhatsApp account rarely communicate with each other. I kept getting pinged via WhatsApp about submitting my details after I'd done so through VRBO.After I ultimately checked in, 3 things that the ad promised were missing: There was no coffee machine, no WiFi, no toilet paper (even though they'd promised "high quality toiletries"). When I contacted them about these, they gave a half-hearted apology and offered late check-out on our last day. I declined (early train), and requested a small refund - enough for an international data roaming package to be able share photos, etc. with friends and family back home. They gave me the run-around for 2 days before offering a 30 Euro refund (much less than I'd requested). I am still waiting for that refund. I doubt I will ever see it.
