Lambert's Cove Beach Getaway - NEW LISTING Private Beach Access!

Originally built in 1890 as a house to accommodate the land's cranberry bog tenders, this quaint little cottage was upgraded to a year round home in 1980. It sits on 3/4 of an acre of secluded woodland and has its own path to the private section of Lambert's Cove Beach - a 4 minute walk brings you to the crest overlooking the sand and the Vineyard Sound beyond. The house itself is charming and bright, full of rustic details and custom finishes. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room w/ daybed, wood stove, a semi-wrap-around deck with charcoal grill and outdoor shower; All you'll hear are the sounds of nature and waves crashing to shore in the distance. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with two Twin beds, ample closet space and a well-equipped 3/4 bath. We look forward to welcoming you home!

This place is a gem. It is quite small, but lovingly designed and super cozy. The location is incredible - a beautiful three minute walk through the woods to one of the most magical beaches on the island.

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage! This is a spectacular location with the very short walk down a wooded path to the beach at Lambert's Cove. It was a nice location for food and shopping at Vineyard Haven and visiting our friends in Chilmark. I recommend you arrive during daylight hours as we did - I think it might be tough to find the place for the first time at night. Also, the size of the cottage is perfect for a couple but would work well with one or two small children in the smaller bedroom. Recommended!

Great beach access, but no reading inside

Easy access to a great beach is biggest attribute! We loved it, but we had good weather. But there is no comfortable place to sit inside and only central lights hanging from ceiling; no good for reading. Details: No microwave as listed; good A/C not listed; no directions for TV, so no local news/weather available; smoke detectors removed; no departure instructions for laundry or trash. Seems like the listing has been coasting on beach access, w/o attention to some details. But we had a great time at the beach!

Cozy cottage with amazing beach access

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage in the woods. The kitchen is fully equipped except for a microwave and the gas grill works perfectly. The bed was soft, but comfortable. The best part was that you're nestled in nature with private access to Lambert's Cove Beach. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway!

Cozy Getaway in a Wonderful Spot

This simple house in the middle of a secluded property is just what our family wanted for a peaceful getaway. Walk to a stunning beach; take a quick drive to unforgettable hikes; enjoy the quiet of the house and woods. Perfect rustic get away - private path to the best beach

Perfect beach getaway

Our family loves this compact cottage by the sea. This is our second summer and we have already booked for next year. The Bog House comes with everything you need for a great stay Our family of four was comfortable and we loved being able to walk (3 minutes) to the best beach on the Vineyard - Lambert's Cove. The owners are responsive to questions, the cottage clean, and again, the easy access to the beach is the best. We can't wait to stay again.
