Beautiful, unique spot and comfortable room that was well equipped.
After hours check in was stressful when I had no (Telstra) signal to call management to help with check in. I had to borrow a phone to make a call. I don't know what I would have done to check in without a helpful stranger. Staff were very helpful though, so it's a glitch in the systerm. Messaging details earlier may have helped this.
Pleasantly surprised- cabin 7 was a 2 bedroom fully self contained tiny house. Even had a bbq on verandah. Definitely value for money. Clean and tidy with extra blankets in cupboards. I personally found the bed a bit hard but that is probably just me. Advertised as beach /ocean views but more accurately described as glimpses of water through thick trees and undergrowth. We chose this accommodation from a very limited list. The Coalmine area was enroute for us and not a planned destination. Limited eating out options. The BP servo had a surprising good range of prepared meals for eat in or takeaway (not just burgers, full meals.) we didnât realise that there was a tavern just out of town so ended up grabbing some Indian food from the motel in town. We would recommend either the tavern or BP servo for meals.
Very informative check in with a great glamping experience. Great to try in a well appointed large tent, plus the camp kitchen and wood fire is well appointed
Accommodation was very unique and cozy. There was a small water leak in the eco-tent that didn't cause us any direct issues, but as it was a very rainy and windy night we were aware of it. Also the pictures on the website appeared to indicate bunk beds for the kids room, but when we got there they were 2 singles (which caused our 7 & 9yr old some disappointment).
Lastly, and this is nothing on the part of the Holiday Park, but it was soo windy the night we stayed and 3/4 of us were up half the night due to the blowing in/out of the sides of the tent due to the wind and the metal awnings creaking as the wind changed direction frequently. Any other night would've been absolutely fine, so it was just timing/luck really - but the tent was cool, a great unique idea and we enjoyed it!
We stayed in an eco tent with our children. It was cosy and very comfortable. The park grounds were well maintained, and the location was perfect for our little adventurers. We would definitely stay here again, and will be recommending to ours friends.
