This is a unique and special place for those who want to step back in time. We stayed the night before at your generic hotelâmono-chromatic colors, steel furniture and the same breakfast you find everywhere. That wonât be your experience here! Youâll step into a home from the early 1900âs, lovingly restored with rich wood trims, antique furniture and floral fabrics. Every nook and cranny is interesting and thoughtful touches abound. The breakfast is homemade and served by the hosts. Donât expect a hotel, look forward to a home. Take time to walk the grounds and enjoy the peace and serenity of a truly special and one of a kind retreat.
Stayed here for my wife's birthday. We had a great experience. There were a few issues with the first room but they owners did a great job of fixing those issues. We were very happy with their response and plan to stay again.
We had the most amazing time at this property. We were the only guests. We even checked out the rental right next to us. Beautiful location. Beautiful memories. I highly recommend this property if you want a place you want for a magical stay
If you love looking in every nook and cranny, reading historical notes, Americana, and that homey creak from true wood floors, this is the place for you! There is a lot of love that has and will continue to be put into this house and property. If you are more city-fied and expect a spa, bite your tongue, find your humility, and accept the heartfelt graciousness of the wonderful couple who own and operate this home. If you walk the property, you will also have a very friendly, orange tabby lead the way!
This place has great history to enjoy while you are there. Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Comfortable King size bed. They also have a rustic event barn for special occasions . We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Not really dog friendly: arrived and was told dogs would have to stay in a kennel in a different building, could text owner to talk to them, waited 45 min, decided to leave, while leaving owner showed up to argue with us, refused to refund, then grabbed wife's car door and wedged his body between the door and car and would not move despite requested 4 times - finally moved on 5th time. Outrageous and inappropriate - has no business in hospitality.
we had an amazing time at this cabin. we had a few hiccups but after calling the owner we were able to get everything resolved quick. the owners were very helpful and nice during our stay. I plan on coming back again and would definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants to get out of the city for a while and get away from the noise, this is the place for you. 10/10 would come back again
It's a quiet property, just far enough from Lincoln to feel rural. I stumbled upon it on Travelocity, and will keep it in mind for a stay close to the home trip where some quiet is needed. Although I'll likely book directly.
