Lovely quaint walk through several levels of walkways and beautuful traditional cottages. Tucked away surrounded by cottage gardens. Like stepping back in time. Beautiful weather surprisingly. Lovely friendly people. Shops and places to eat and drink , within 5 mins through the street's. Very steep hill and steps add to rhe charm of the winding roads down to the bay front. Photographers heaven. 4th time here over the years with small changes to eateries.
This property was a highlight of my UK trip! Robin Hoods Bay is a sneaky charmer that absolutely steals your heart in less than 24 hours. Exploring the history, the footpaths, and the coastline was full of childlike wonder. The property itself was also full of fairytale charm! From listening to the seagulls walk across the roof tiles to spotting the secret door between the neighbouring houses this place was full of pleasant surprises. It is in the middle of a seagull roost area - which means the gulls are quite loud, but that is just part of its seaside charm I think. Communicating with the host was a bit confusing as they use a different hosting site and don't seem to always get VRBO messages, but there was nothing pressing that came up so it wasnt a make-or-break situation. One thing - when following the instructions to get to the cottage be aware that when it says "further down past the art shop" it actually means about two feet further down the hill but really almost directly across the street. I got extremely lost looking for the sign further down from the art shop and only ended up at Oakfield Cottage because a very nice shopkeeper saw me pushing my luggage bag up and down the hill infront of her shop multiple times and she asked if i was okay. When she heard which cottage I was looking for she locked up her shop and personally took me to it. She saved me a lot of despair that evening and everyone in RHB was equally kind and lovely.
A fantastic homely property located within the heart of RHB. The house has everything you will need. The only hiccup we encountered was booking the property through cottages.com and their communication.
Property and robin hoodâs bay are lovely. However if you are remotely mobility impaired this is maybe not for you. Steep hills and steps everywhere including access to property. Stairway in property is treacherous.
Beautiful location Robin hoods bay is stunning.
Very cute cottage stayed at New Year, fireworks amazing.
Steep stairs in the cottage, could have been cleaner! Beds comfy, sofa and chairs too, and nice to have a wood burner.
Would have been nice to have some logs and a bottle of wine for arrival.
Nice property - good size for a small family - centrally located - pity the only (towel rail) heating in the bathroom didn't work (even when switched on) which spoilt our enjoyment of the property in the below zero weather conditions.
Property has loads of character as it is so old. Loved the quirkiness and history of the building, view of the bay and its position close to everything
