We did not enjoy our stay at Art Hotel Curaçao and I wouldnât recommend it. Overall, the hotel felt disconnected and not very welcoming, and the experience was full of annoying extra charges and restrictions that made it hard to relax.
One of the biggest issues was the beach and waterfront area. There were multiple spots where we couldnât sit unless we paid extra. Some of the loungers/beds cost over $150 USD just to use, which is wild considering youâre already paying to stay at the hotel. At night, we tried to sit by the water to enjoy the view and were told we werenât allowed unless we were ordering food or drinks. It felt like the hotel was constantly policing where you can sit and when, unless youâre spending more money.
The room wasnât great either. It had a noticeable smell that made it unpleasant to stay in. The bedding was also a letdown: the âking-size bedâ is actually two mattresses pushed together, which is uncomfortable, and the sheet they provide is paper-thin and basically just one thin sheet. It didnât feel cozy or premium at all.
Breakfast was another disappointment. It cost over $100 USD for two people and it wasnât good. Honestly, skip it and eat at nearby local restaurants. Youâll get much better food for way less money.
Overall, the value just isnât there. Between the extra charges, the restricted seating, the smelly room, and the poor bedding and breakfast, this hotel wasnât worth it. Curaçao has much better options nearby for the price.
