Windermere is a popular location to holiday, primarily due to its central location within the Lakes, making it an ideal base to explore the wider Lake District National Park. The Windermere train and bus stations are within walking distance, so leave the car behind and take the scenic transport option!
There are lots to see and do locally; however, if you fancy a quiet night in, why not cosy up on the sofa in front of the log-burning fire and cook up a delicious meal?

ACCOMMODATION SUMMARY Bedroom - Double bed, a small wall-mounted TV. Bathroom - Modern with shower cubicle with electric shower, toilet and a basin with illuminated mirror above. Kitchen / Living area - Open plan space with a wonderful breakfast counter, an electric induction hob, oven, SMEG washer/dryer, fridge with freezer box, and microwave. Note there is no dishwasher. The living area comprises a two-seat sofa in front of the fabulous log-burning stove and a 32-inch smart TV. Hallway - Cupboard storage for clothing, also housing the iron and ironing board.
THINGS TO NOTE: Bed linen, towels and services are included in the rental price. The bed is a fixed double and cannot be split into singles. Travel cot and high chair not provided. Please bring these with you if required. 1x small dog is permitted at ÂŁ20.00 extra per stay Superfast internet is available. This property does not have private parking - there is free overnight street parking. Alternatively, the nearest Pay & Display parking is Broad Street, approx 4-minute walk, where you can buy daily, 3-day or weekly parking tickets. The 3-day and weekly tickets can be used in many council-run carparks in the South Lakes. CCTV covers the external front door and the lane area
The actual house was fantastic. Found free parking a few streets away. A little further away from Bowness than I had realised, but itâs a lovely walk down to the water (about 20mins on foot). But just a few streets over from bars, pubs, restaurants and other shops. Far enough away that itâs lovely and quiet at night. Very private overall and the facilities were great. And absolutely spotless! Would definitely recommend staying here.
Really cosy, well equipped cottage close to Windermere centre. Small problem with hot water, but quickly fixed, so in no way spoiled our stay. Highly recommend
