Motel 6 holds themselves blameless for mistakes
I didn't actually stay for my appointed reservation; my circumstances had changed, and I didn't need it anymore. I called into cancel my reservation and was told It was already cancelled.
I proceeded with my weekend only to find I was still getting emails associated with my reservation. I called Motel 6 about this an no one was available to address my concerns.
I was referred back to Hotels.com who took up a request for a refund for me, which was rejected. The reason It was rejected according to motels.com was that they had to remain consistent their policy on these matters.
So it is their policy to inform their customers a reservation is cancelled, not cancel it and then charge them anyway?
Neither Hotels.com or Motel 6 has provided me with a satisfactory answer to this. Needless I am extremely dissatisfied with entire experience.
I would recommend all people avoid dealing with Motel 6 if this is how they choose to do business.
The check in experience after hours felt like going to a liquor store in a dangerous neighborhood. Also when we arrived, a cop was kicking out a homeless person for lingering around but we were tired of driving so we decided to stay and lock up before going to bed. Other than that the room itself was pretty clean and cozy.
Horrible front desk clerk, they kept the deposit fee of small stained on one sheet that was already there and a hand towel tht I used to clean up my Pepsi I had spilled. âWeâre keeping $40 to replace the sheet and hand towelâ, didnât know it cost that much to replace. Probably pocketed the cash deposit. Be warned and donât stay here.
Location was perfect for an early Doctorâs appointment at UNM.
Rooms were small compared to other hotels, no coffee maker in the room, and no complimentary breakfast for the price of $85.00
The heater was so noisy it woke me all night. The light in the bathroom has a noisy vent, and always comes on with the light. very loud.
There was no information in the room for the office or for restaurants in the area. No tv guide, very low quality amenities. Had a small microwave and refrigerator.
And the morning office help was put out because we needed to check out before 8 am and retrieve our deposit.
Iâve stayed in this hotel years ago and in Santa Fe, and I was very disappointed in this one.
The Staff Gave my room away even after i called to notify them i was arriving late due to flight delays. I told them i was fine paying for the first night (i arrived at 7am) but when I arrived, they informed me they had given my room to another guest. You can understand how LIVID i was at that point. DO NOT GIVE THESE PPL YOUR MONEY!!!
All staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. Level of room ceanliness and overall service is top-notch, on-par with upscale hotels. Security and motel staff do an excellent job of detering all manner of riff raff and maintaining a safe, healthy environment for guests. They even go as far as regularly pwerwashing terraces, walkways, and other common areas.
Well I know this is a cut rate place but still - no coffee - no tissues - no microwave-no refrigerator - flies in the room - The people working there were nice enough - could have provided a little more info - like take CASH to park at the balloon fest - there will be at least an hour wait on the highway to get into the festival grounds - would have made life so much easier had we just been told!
Plus -apparently -this is a bad part of town - literally a murder at the Circle K the week before - and we walked to dinner before someone at the restaurant told us this!
What we liked was that it was close to the freeway and was easy access go where we needed to go.
What we didn't like were the curtains in the room didn't block out the light coming in from outside thoroughly.
