Booked 3 days, stayed 2, bed was like sleeping on the floor and the hotel was a rally drive from the reception, no WIFI and only one restaurant, however, beautiful views
Beautiful place â but you better like camping ;)
It was a beautiful place with eagles flying over the area all day long. The city nearest by (Algar) was absolutely amazing and the people the sweetest and most helpfull.
The camping area itself was a bit old; the room had no aircon and the pool was dirty. But we spend a lot of time in Algar using the public pool and eating at the local restaurants.
Excellent location, great views and relaxing. Traditional styles cottage. We stayed here the night before Jerez motogp.
We didn't eat here due to our time of departure but great to relax with a nice bottle of wine and selection of meats and cheeses.
Fantastic location, good little restaurant (and very cheap) but terrible hotel. Rooms are far too small - the double was pushed up against the wall with no space to even put suitcase on floor. Grotty bathroom and bed linen not put on properly. Room is not made up each day and no towel change. Unless you stay in one of the houses not much communal or sitting space outside - just hilly walks and shrubs with no place to stop or put down a towel, other than pool, which was closed. Shame because the location is so beautiful.
Thoroughly perfect experience. However, we went in March and had the place to ourselves Mon - Fri. The peace and quiet was perfect and at the weekends families and locals also came to enjoy the restaurant and area.
Very helpful staff and I just loved the herd of sheep who came down every morning and took themselves back every afternoon!
A+
It was a choice between this place or a four star "conference" hotel near Jerez and we're so glad we chose here. This is a complex of small, white-washed cottages with a shared pool and restaurant. It is located on a steep hill with the cottages at the top and the pool and restaurant at the bottom. It's not far between them but it's quite a trek walking back up. You can drive to a car park by the pool, which sounds lazy but after two attempts on foot, it became the norm !
The place itself is next to a stunning lake with one of the best views we've seen in AndalucĂa. You can go horse riding down to the lake which was a great experience. Only costs 15⏠for adults and 10⏠for children with very friendly instructors and easy going horses.
The staff are friendly and helpful, although it certainly helped that we speak Spanish. I think they knew some English, but it was definitely easier to communicate in Spanish.
Our cottage was fairly basic but was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a few days. There were three of us staying there, but only one bedroom with a pull out bed in the lounge. We had to make this up ourselves and would really have expected this to have been done already.
In summary, the location is amazing and well worth a visit for that alone. Good atmosphere and very family oriented environment. Would definitely recommend.
Schitterend uitzicht, ideaal als je van rust en een unieke ligging houdt.
Sobere accommodatie, maar alles is aanwezig wat je nodig hebt.
Een aanrader als je niet van het massa toerisme houdt.
