“Tired” property. Only one floor of three looks satisfactory and dare to be called 3, not 4 stars. No proper working internet, scares food at breakfast. May be considered good for small money it costs. Do not expect a miracle: for that you are getting old and very firm mattress, worn out towels and bed linen, no mini bar and no safe at not refurbished floors. Anyway it is good from outside with marble and glass. Combined with Soviet stile shopping center at the first three floors. But cheap price ....

Poor premises with a good location
Publié le 24 sept. 2018 sur HotelsThe hotel has a good location between Dostyk & Nazarbayeva streets and 50m walk to Dostyk Plaza mall. The rooms are out-dated, allmost without maintenance and during our stay we saw a major water damage in one of their suites. Hotel breakfast is very weak. This hotel could work for someone who just needs a decent room (warm water works normally) for a cheap price in a very convenient location and is ready to eat somewhere else.

A hotel remodel in progress

Pour : The staff were oh so helpful. I liked the fact that the hotel was close to all the major attractions of Almaty.
Contre : Since the hotel is in the remodeling stage I see things improving within the year.
Emplacement : The Hotel is directly across the street from the Dostyk Mall. One can walk ten minutes to KOK Tobe tram views of Almaty city.
It is valued well for being so close to all the major attractions in Almaty. Directly across the street from the Dostyk Mall. Area is full of attractions all within easy walking distance from this Hotel.
The staff are knowledgeable and most speak English very well. The rooms are clean and the buffet breakfast helps.
The Grand Eurasia Hotel is being remodeled on the interior so it is a work in progress. So one could judge the hotel harshly or look at it as a bargain with name brand hotels being far more expensive in the area. With the currency valuation of the US Dollars to the Kazakh Tenge , I would say it is a nice value. It is a beautiful city with so many trees and the locals are so helpful. Many restaurants close by and all worth exploring.
There is a restaurant attached to the Hotel which offers homemade cuisine so if one wishes you only need take the elevator down to the 1st floor and head out the hallway door and walk to the end of the hallway. It's cuisine is Kazakhstan which are made daily ! The deserts are pure heaven and one should try all. My personal favorite was a pastry filled with sweet banana.
Everything on the menu is so tasty and of course made fresh daily throughout the day ! It is open from 0800 to 2100 hrs.

Contre : Rooms are older in style, but lends to the old character charm
Emplacement : Western mall with coffee shops, food court and grocery store.
The hotel is near to mall, playgrounds for young children and across from US embassy, American citizen services. If you need to conduct business there, this hotel is great. Staff are kind and the breakfast is ample and served in a magnificent ballroom.
