Great hotel, walkable to most activities and restaurants. Comfortable bed and stay.

One night stay
Posted Dec. 15, 2023 on HotelsThe hotel is in a great position. Close to the port, the Rambla and the beach area. We only stayed for one night and really only slept at the hotel. They were happy to look after our luggage before we checked in. Everything was good, the staff were very friendly. Hotel is probably a little dated compared to some.

Our favourite hotel in Almeria

Not a 4 star hotel. More like a 2 star.
Beds are furnished with very poor quality pillows and mattress.
No air condition was extremely hot. Receiption told me to keep the door open but was extremely noisy.
Will not be back again.

What often differntiates a good hotel experience from a poor one, is the level of service provided. The Gran is not so grand. We asked to check in early and were told that it is at 2pm, we asked for a room with one bed, but were given two, we asked for a higher floor and were not given one. While these are relatively minor issues, they are symptomatic of a hotel that does not treat their customers well.
