We booked at the Antelope lodge for a visit to Big bend national park. Alpine is still 1h30 away from the park entrance which is quite a drive every day. You can tell that the owners of the lodge do their best to improve the place by renovating it step by step and you can feel an interesting atmosphere around it. If you are looking for all the modern amenities, this is probably not the place for you...yet!

Thanks for choosing the Antelope Lodge! We have made pretty good progress this year on improvements, but we still have a ways to go, but rest assured we are focused on restoring this gem out in the desert!

all older duplexes with thick adobe like walls, duplexes surround a nice relaxing area w/chairs and tables. Very quiet.

Picture a remote hunter's cabin. Bathroom so small I had to sit sideways to use the toilet. Staff is friendly, but the room was just too rough.
