Pros: The morning desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating. He arranged an early breakfast.
Cons: The customer service is spotty. One went out of the way the other did not follow up.
Location: The location was not near things to do.
I would rate this hotel as ok. It was not one of my favorites. The rooms were small. Nothing special was offered as complimentary.

Great place to stay in the country

Pros: Its ambience, its style and facilities
Location: Its a bit out of Amarante but worth the drive. As above, the restaurant Quinta da Lama is a must.
Once we had found the hotel which was a bit difficult using our British satnav we were pleasantly surprised as to how lovely it was. As we arrived a wedding reception was taking place and the hotel and its gardens were ideal for this type of event. Our room was great, being on the top floor ideal for sunbathing and extremely comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and we made full use of the outdoor & indoor(heated) swimming pools together with the Jacuzzi, sauna & Turkish bath. Breakfast was good. We found a wonderful restaurant nearby called Quinta da Lama in nearby Caminho da Rue (2.5km) We can't wait to visit both soon.
