Convenient Location

I chose this Super 8 due to convenience of location.It is right off of the I-40. Between Big Texan & Buc-cee's. It was pretty clean. I wouldn't walk around without any socks on. The bathroom counter and sink are lower than usual, as well as the mirror, so if you're over 5'7" it will become an issue... if you're staying there for more than one night, for whatever reason.

First impression was bad when entering a narrow hallway below ground with poor lighting. But we found the room to be very clean and as comfortable with the amenities of a much more expensive hotel.

Poor accommodations

The first room they offered was on the bottom level. It looked like it hadn’t been remodeled or taken care of. We found bugs on the floor coming from the window. We told the front desk and they offered us another room. I inspected it closely for bugs and found none, so we decided to stay because it was so late. It was supposed to be a “smoke free “ room, but the mattress (not the bed linens) smelled. It was not worth the money we spent. Breakfast was limited to eggs, biscuits and gravy, apples, coffee, juice.

Room was dirty. Carpet filthy, dust on the chairs, unfinished repairs on ceiling in shower area including yellowish brown drips from the ceiling in bathroom. Overall it was just a dirty place to stay and I wouldn’t kennel my dog in a place like that. Will never go back there.
