The room and front desk staff were wonderful. We stayed there on New Years Eve, unaware of the crazy history the Netherlands has with fire works and this night (seriously, you should look it up), but they had ear plugs ready for us. My only complaint was that the bed was quite hard, but I think that is just a European thing. (Spoiled American.) The bathroom was super nice, and the inside is very tastefully done. The outside of the building looks a little worse for wear, but you'd never know once you get inside. Just be aware that there is no shuttle to get you to the airport. They suggest taking a Taxi or Uber, but the train station is only a 10 minute walk and it's just one stop away from Schipol. They also have busses that will take you there as well for a typical public transportation cost.

What I like about the place is the location, a good 10-15 walk away from Hoofddorp station. The area is quiet and you feel safe. Next is the price of the room, which is way cheaper than other budget hotels, and they offer free continental breakfast. The room is just okay. Nothing grand. Just necessities like towels, body wash and shampoo. There's a kettle that works if you find the right pressure to turn it on. The bedside light does not work. You need to have your own plug/adapter for your phone because it's a 2-pin socket. The bed and pillow are also okay. There is building work outside, but it didn't bother us as we were out and about during the day. The Reception people are not overly friendly. Most of the time I passed them, they are zoning out and kind of indifferent. Overall, I get what I paid for. Pretty basic, just somewhere to rest at the end of a long-day sightseeing.

I really appreciated how clean the room was—they also claim to use hospital grade disinfectants, which is fantastic for a germaphobe like me. I was initially a bit nervous to stay here as some of the reviews stated the rooms were not in great condition; however, I found that my stay was very clean and comfortable. There wasn’t any noisy construction, as mentioned in reviews, during my time here; however, they do provide ear plugs in the room if needed. The staff is very helpful and attentive as well—no complaints about them. The only minor issue is just a few specks/stains on the floor and some scribbles on the wall. Other than that, I would stay here again!
