Beautiful beach, pool and nice rooms. Service at the pool and pool bars was excellent! The food was terrible! The restaurants were closed! The buffet was horrible! Very limited choices! Only basic items were eatable. All meat and fish were overcooked, dried out and looked very unappealing! Flies all over!!! Just overall poor and low quality food and ambiance of the place! Also, the property is completely run down! It’s not up to the Secrtes standard! They need major upgrades to eating facilities / buffet and restaurants and bathrooms! And major upgrades to the lobby!

Lovely property that feels like an exclusive, private resort because of the location. Staff did everything they could to help, including immediately finding an adapter plug. Comfy beds. Rain shower head in bathroom. Compact resort, so everything you need is close to your room. Food was great. Views were stunning. Overall, thrilled with our stay. Swim up pool was the icing on the cake.

We stayed at secrets for 5 days. The property grounds are fairly large and plenty of room for guests. The pool and beach chairs fill up quick and a few of the restaurants were not open at all during our stay. The rooms while somewhat remodeled were needing finishing touches in areas

Hotel still going through renovations. Some paths and access points were closed so you had to walk through one area to get to the beach for example. They later opened another gate on the other side because people were jumping over the wall for the shortcut. The beach was great. Soft white sand and the water was clear. Hard to get chairs on the beach as people save spots early in the morning. Staff was all really nice. Our room was always clean. It was good for a short stay.

5 out of 6 restaurants/ bars closed due to renovations but no one warned us. Hoping for a refund because I picked the hotel based on food options. Also, theaters closed, spa closed on sunday ( and we had booked a short weekend trip). Nothing to do at night pool and ocean off limits . Beautiful scenery and clean , but will not return.

This is NOT your typical Secrets resort. The only good things it has going for it are the kind staff and beautiful location. As someone who travels to the Caribbean and stays at 5-star resorts 5-6 times a year, I would give this resort a 3 star rating at best. Most of the bars and restaurants remain closed. The entire resort needs a full reno. The hallways and flooring in the hallways resemble those of an abandoned building. The lobby looks like a larger version of a Motel 6 lobby. We also had booking issues on arrival which mid-level management failed to rectify (we were asked to taxi over to a 3-star hotel on the other side of the island for the night as the hotel was overbooked) - thankfully, we asked to discuss our issues with the general manager who ultimately provided us with a satisfactory resolution, which we appreciated. Bottom line, Hyatt/Secrets will ultimately need to either dump a lot of money into a full renovation of this property, or simply call this resort what it actually is: i.e. a regular (not Secrets) 3-star all-inclusive resort to manage expectations. Until Hyatt gets its act together on this resort, spend your hard-earned money on an actual 5-star resort. If they do end up actually renovating up to Secrets standards, we would be happy to revisit our position on this resort, thanks to the general manager's understanding and the resort staff's kindness.

This place is ah-mazing! No mosquitoes, excellent service, clean private and public spaces, friendly staff that welcomes you with open arms any chance they get, outstanding gourmet food options in all 5 restaurants, not crowded, a lot of privacy, just to mention the few things that impressed us immensely :) Strongly recommend to visit this gem, you will not regret it!

First the hotel was not renovated ,the staff they didn’t know anything you ask a question and there not be able to answer ,the food was poor and the entertainment terrible I wil never recommend it to anyone go there

This is NOTHING like other Secrets properties. The whole resort needs to close and go through a serious update. Landscaping/Hardscaping needs to be completely redone. Breakfast is not good and if you don't get there early and they run out of something, they don't replenish it. You go to any other all inclusive and the buffet is stocked until the end. Preferred club not worth extra. Hallways resemble an apartment vs. a resort. The pictures aren't an accurate depiction. So disappointed.

All perfect, except when we checked in there was no rooms available for and another 5 couples. They found us all rooms at the sapphire hotel an hour from the secret resort. The following day the shuttle picked us up on time 10am and they gave a nice room and everything went well till we checked out. The hotel manager Ingrid was very attendant and helped with the smooth transition.

Note: Parts of this property are still under construction. Hotel was hit badly by Hurricanes Maria and Irma. The swim-up suites, spa, and 2-3 bars and restaurants were closed. We are a couple in our 40’s and prob among the youngest people there. What we liked: * Friendly and helpful staff! * Secluded and quiet location * Enormous, beautiful, clean pool! * Spacious room and balcony * comfortable mattress and high quality linens * Attentive and timely housekeeping and room service * Excellent liquor, wine, and coffee * Tasty food: steakhouse, Italian, French, and hibachi restaurants for dinner and buffet for breakfast and lunch. * The entertainment consisted of solo singers. They’d sing by the hotel lobby every night from 8-10pm. All very talented. Areas for improvement: * Rotation of food menu. Each restaurant had one menu that never changed. Each with 3 apps and 3 entree options. Food was yummy but by the 6th day we were a bit bored. * They did not advertise that their spa was closed. They made a makeshift spa in a hotel room. I received a massage and pedicure there, reasonably priced at $120 USD total. I had been looking forward to a true spa experience. *Pool music felt constant and loud (I know some people like that though) * Dirty/paint splattered hallway rug * A few activities like yoga, aqua aerobics, etc all seemed geared to 55 Overall, for the money, (paid $4500 for a week flight from NC), I would not come again, but I think they’re on their way up!

The property is under construction. I had called before to ask if the construction had finished and they said yes. We got there and the staff was super friendly, but the room was dirty and the floors were full of dust. We slept for the night and found cockroaches in the floor(we have pictures). The next morning we told the staff we wanted to leave because of all these things, they tried to out us in a different room which was even dirtier. Don’t get me wrong the hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff is helpful, but they should clean the rooms better specifically after renovations. They let us cancel and promised a refund, however it appears that now they have retracted and are not honoring the refund. You need to do better Secrets, this hotel is not up to the Secrets standards. Hopefully we can get the refund they promised.

Great property, staff untrained. You ask for something, they say yes but you never get it. Restaurants, same menu every 2 days. Only 4 choices on menu to top it off Food excellent but no variety They run out of food Drinks, they have great quality products. Depending on waiter drink good or not
