The hospitality and welcoming at this hotel was outstanding. I was traveling on my own and felt safe and taken care of especially by Sherrie, the owner of the establishment. The room was comfortable and quaint with its historical charm. The included breakfast was more than sufficient and the restaurant located within the hotel was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by my extreme positive experience in this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the beautiful and welcoming town of Arcata. I will definitely return. Historic Hotel - good value

It’s an old building, which I like, but old building doesn’t excuse mildew/mold on the window curtains and overall cleanliness (or lack of). The location is great although the outside people like to gather in front of the liquor store and the closed businesses adjacent to the property. Overall I would stay there again because I love the location and I love the price.
