Spectacular Views! -Great Location-Hot Tub-Dreamy Porch & Sun Room-Fenced Yd!

This charming house has it all! Unbelievable views, yet only a short (less than 1/4 mile up) distance up the mountain for easy access. Minutes from a multitude of shopping and dining choices in convenient South Asheville, less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Park Mall, 15 minutes from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The Rhodie House is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and yet surrounded by trees and nature lending to the privacy you will feel when staying at this house. For hiking and nature enthusiasts, a 300 acre nature preserve with walking paths is at the top of the mountain, less than a mile away. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 30 minutes north of this house so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOUSE FOR A BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTY. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE AND WE CANNOT HOST GUESTS WITH A SIMILAR TYPE OF CELEBRATION PLANNED.

There is a large, screened in three-season porch with TV, ceiling fans, plenty of seating including an authentic German beer hall table/benches, festive lighting, gas firepit and a bar for entertaining and relaxing and long range mountain views. Additionally, there are two outdoor decks, both with mountain views, one on the lower level and one on the main level. Fully fenced side and front yard with direct access from the house. Central heating and A/C throughout the house. Main level outside deck has a propane grill and a brand new 6-7 person hot tub. The well-equipped kitchen has all modern stainless steel large appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. The rustic farmhouse dining table seats eight comfortably. The living room has a gas fireplace , plenty of comfortable leather seating, a bistro table at which to enjoy your morning coffee and a 55" TV with Netflix.
Just off the living room is the peaceful sun room with windows on three sides and more amazing views! The main floor has two bedrooms: the master has a king size bed, 40" flat screen TV and two closets . The 2nd main floor bedroom has two twin beds. Full bathroom with double vanity is in the hall leading to the bedrooms. Lower level has large king bedroom with an attached bathroom and 2nd downstairs bedroom with queen bed and sliding door to outside deck. Large family room is downstairs with comfy leather seating as well as a 9' shuffleboard table, board games, large, cozy electric fireplace and TV with 50' TV with Netflix. Laundry room has full size washer/dryer.

All bedrooms and living areas have ceiling fans. Only 100% cotton bed and bath linens are provided. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your canine buddies -up to two for a $75 dog fee. Front and side yard is fully fenced for your convenience and your pup's safety. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, the cabin has wireless WiFi and cell phone service at the cabin is reliable. Lively, downtown Asheville is less than 20 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. Asheville is Beer City USA with over 30 breweries! Sierra Nevada is only minutes from this house.
On the south edge of Asheville, you're minutes from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its many trail heads and spectacular views. Hendersonville Road has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the house. Biltmore Park outdoor mall has PF Changs, Louella's BBQ, Brixx Pizza and a number of other popular restaurants and shopping destinations as well as a 15 screen movie theatre. Biltmore Village and Estate is a short 15 minute drive. Hiking, rafting, waterfalls, world class fishing and zip lining is in all directions.

This house was one of our favorites. The view was lovely! It had tons of common space, comfortable couches, the best sunroom for reading or taking an afternoon snooze, a spacious and well-furnished screened porch, nice fenced in front area for our little dog, and a hot tub with a view. We had five people and one dog and had an abundance of space to cook, come together or have our own privacy. I don’t have one complaint. House has everything you could need!! Thanks for a great stay!

This was our first time staying in a VRBO and it was a fantastic experience. This host has thought of everything, from labeling the kitchen cabinets to putting together a house guidebook that has all the details you could need. The mountain views are amazing. It is in a perfect location about 15 minutes to downtown and the Biltmore. Visiting from Florida, I was worried about steep hills and driveways. This house is paved all the way up. A fantastic house!!

The house was perfect!!! We had everything we needed...there were no issues and so didn't need to have any extra contact with the hosts...the views were gorgeous! the outdoor patio with the table top fire pit and large tv was where we hung out each evening!!! Highly recommend staying here! Kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked. Highly recommend staying here! We were three couples that get together once a year or so...I would stay here again!!

This place felt like home the minute we walked in. The views were amazing and there were so many great places to enjoy them. They thought of everything when they stocked the place. Thoughtful Home with Stunning Mountain Views

We had a fantastic July 4th weekend at this warm and welcoming home! The mountain views were breathtaking, and we loved relaxing in the fenced garden and spacious screened patio. The indoor game area was a great bonus, and it’s clear the hosts have truly thought of everything guests might need. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay!

We absolutely loved this home! Check in was a breeze. The sunroom, the screened porch and the hot tub were fantastic! We also loved the fenced in yard for our dogs. The views from the sunroom/hot tub were incredible and this house is centrally located to everything! We will definitely be back! 10 stars!!

Awesome house in a great location!

The property is as advertised and matches the pictures. There are some great views, and the sun room and screened-in porch are amazing. Check-in is easy and the house is just a short 5-10 minute drive from restaurants and shopping, and just around 20-25 minutes from downtown Asheville. This house is great for dog owners (the yard is fenced) or a small group, and we would definitely come again!

Knitters getaway

We are 8 women friends who knit and do other fiber crafts. Every October we go to Asheville for SAFF held at the AG center. Because of Helene SAFF was canceled so instead of a refund we decided to just get together in January. This house was in the perfect location and a perfect place for us. There are a lot of places to find some quiet time and a great room where we could all be together. There is also an amazing screened in porch with a fire table where we could all sit around with a glass of wine. Everything was clean and well stocked. Lots of books and games. The hosts were the best communicators. They answered any questions in less than 10 minutes. We have been going to SAFF for years and always stay at a different place because they are somehow not just right. This place is and fortunately we were able to book again for SAFF 2025.

Our family enjoyed our stay, property was clean, comfortable, and plenty of space for solo time if needed. Supplies for cooking and the grill was a great size. Communication with host was quick and consistent. The location was close to airport and grocery stores if needed, Asheville downtown is only 20 mins. We will likely stay here again in the future!

The location and amenities of this home really made our stay above and beyond! The pictures don’t do this place the justice it deserves. Talk about coffee with a view
breathtaking in September! So spacious, extremely clean, and GREAT communication! We ran out of propane for the fire pit and I messaged Birgit And received a response in less than two minutes!

Well equipped, clean & cozy

The home is very clean and a nice size. Our family had plenty of room to sleep, and to work remotely. Our favorite rooms were the sunroom with breathtaking views of the mountains and the screened in porch for meals and relaxing by the fire pit or playing board games in the evenings. The Biltmore Estate was in close proximity as well as the numerous hiking trails. The hosts, Birgit and Tony are very welcoming and communicate well.
