Gaia was perfectly located right in the main Psyri strip with lots of great places to eat. Short walk to the Monastiraki and the metro. Room was great two comfortable beds and exactly what we were looking for in Athens. Alexander was great and even gave us the nickle tour around the area and arranged a car for to/from Airport but if you are arriving at a normal time the Metro to Monastiraki stop and a 5 minute walk to the hotel. If you are thinking of a trip to Greece it was great. Crowds were minimal in the Acropolis and museums. Flying in/out of Athens was a breeze even with COVID precautions just give yourself a 2 hour layover in connecting flights.

The perfect hotel for us

Posted Sep. 22, 2020 on Hotels
Great service, the most comfortable bed of our travels in Greece, multiple USB charging points, lovely shower. The location could not have been better for us (quiet, but within a couple of minutes walk from vibrant and arty streets). Overall, this hotel is fantastic value and will always be our first choice for overnight stays in Athens.

Walking in Athens

Posted Jan. 27, 2020 on Hotels
The room was nice and the balcony overlooking the street was an added feature. The area arround the hotel is vibrant lots of restaurants and historical sites. Don't rent a car there is no place to park and in the high season you will spend a most of your time looking for one. Public transport is good but walking is a must as you will find places not on the tours. People are friendly and helpful dont hold back try a little off everything. A cab from the airport will cost you 40euro a bus which is readily available outside will cost you 6euro droping you a nice 12 min walk to the hotel.

Above and beyond!!

Aleksander and the Gaia hotel were so warm and helpful. Not only was Aleksander Forgiving when our ferry was delayed by an hour and he had to stay later on a Friday night to let us in, he also helped us carry our bags to the train station so that we would not have to wait 30 mins for the next train. I wish him the best with the hotel and completely recommended staying here.

We only had a one night stay here but we're delighted with it. Location was great, lots of restaurants etc round the corner. Coffee maker and snacks also in room. Alexander could not have been more helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds. Looking forward to a return visit
