The day before our stay, the hotel contacted us to advise that they had overbooked and would be transferring us to another property. Communication throughout this process was poor. We were told several times that confirmation emails would be sent, but these never arrived, and we had to chase the new hotel ourselves to verify the booking, as Oaks Hotels did not follow through. The location was a key factor in choosing this hotel, so having to replan our trip at extremely short notice was very frustrating. Overall, a disappointing experience due to the lack of organisation and communication.

The room was worn out. No proper plug for the sink and shower drain was cracked. Chair in living room had a red stain on arm and cabinet under TV was chipped. Not acceptable for over $300 a night.

Hotel doubled booked us, rang 24 hours before check in to say they couldn’t accommodate us. They did find us an alternate hotel, that even the receptionist stated wasn’t as nice and didn’t have a restaurant like described . It was old and tired loud and not clean. They promised to offer complimentary drinks which would be emailed with all the confirmation. We never received this. Incredibly disappointed for a booking 8 months prior and our 15th wedding anniversary.

Friendly and efficient staff. The room was really clean, great location if you’re going to something at Spark Arena. Sofa could be bigger and the parking was pretty pricey…all in all though pretty good value.
