April 2024 Eclipse Trip
Posted Apr. 18, 2024 on HomeAwayMy husband and I had a great staying at this condo on Lake Travis. The condo was clean, attractive, and well-stocked. The host even left us eclipse glasses and phone filters to use for the big event! The grounds of the condo community were also really beautiful.
When the host warns you to keep an eye out for deer, they aren’t kidding! Deer were EVERYWHERE in this area and they have no fear of humans. They regularly congregated in the condo’s grassy common areas in the evening. Drive very slowly and keep your eyes peeled.
The walls between the condos are a bit thin, (this was most noticeable in the morning for some reason), so definitely be mindful of your neighbors!
I would definitely book this condo again on my next trip to the area.

Posted Mar. 30, 2024 on HomeAwayThe Island at Lago Vista is a wonderful community and it is a beautiful, well-run property. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and the tennis/pickle ball courts. Counting the deer each time we went to and from the propertv was enjoyable for my kids and I. The highest count was 40. The unit we stayed in was very clean and had all the comforts of home. If we come back to Austin we would definitely stay there again.

Posted Mar. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayThe home is a sanctuary of tranquility, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Waking up to the sight of deer gracefully roaming amidst such natural beauty was truly enchanting. I recommend you take some deer feed if you would like to spend some time with the deer and the outdoors. They are very friendly. The check in process and communication with the property manager was excellent. Cheri is very kind and responds promptly. The home is very clean and organized. It’s a memory we’ll treasure forever. Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit!

Recharge Getaway
Posted Feb. 16, 2024 on HomeAwayThis place is definitely a great space to recharge and escape. The directions to the unit are spot on. Photos are true to the property, and the owner is pleasant and quick to respond. There are enough items in the unit to get you started appropriately.
It should be noted that the unit does not really have a direct lake view, but the patio does not disappoint with peace, quiet and deer watching. My only complaint is that I could not stay longer.
