This property worked really well for our family. 4 queen (or bigger beds) plus 3 full bathrooms for 6 people was perfect. We also really enjoyed the back yard.
The house was clean and comfortable. The drawbacks were it is located on a very busy street with lots of road noise, and an incredibly narrow and sunken entrance to the driveway that was challenging to navigate in and out of in our rental without bottoming out every time. There was also nothing in the way of existing kitchen amenities, such as oils, sugar, salt and pepper, etc. While spacious and otherwise comfortable, I donât think we would stay here again.
Host was great and communicative. Would definitely recommend staying at any of their properties while visiting Austin! The water line from the fridge tasted like it had mold in it. With 8 folks staying at the house, the water pitcher provided was too small for us all to quickly hydrate up. Lastly, we came across two cockroaches! Not sure if that's a product of the house needing to be sealed somewhere but it was a shock when each instance occured.
Upon arrival we had immediate issues with the driveway, the entrance is far too narrow and curb is too high making it nearly impossible to drive in without going over a curb and possibly scrathing your rims or bottoming out. This is an extrmemly busy street so it took awhile to be able to park in the driveway, so we just parked our other vehicle across the street because it was easier to walk across vs. parking every time, yet challenging with as busy as the road is. The next thing we encountered upon arrival is the funky smelling bathroom, turns out the drain was backed up with hair, which is what also made the other bathroom's shower back up and poor water out onto the floor, as that drain was also clogged fdull with hair. We reached out to the property manager who said that they would send someone to look at the issue but we had already fixed the first bathroom's drain, the other bathroom was declogged by their service person but the funky smell continued to linger! On the arrival we noticed several knats and fruit flies so we went out and purchased a fly contraption the next day, which over the remainder of the stay took care of most of the issue but then my daughter saw several spider webs and little spiders in her bedroom and one night we had a cockroach in the kitchen!! The couch was like the other reviews stated, very slouchy but understandable because they allow pets so we weren't expecting nicer furnishings but the chair covers were filthy!
Our family stayed in the house for our sonâs graduation and the space and location were perfect! The home is updated and had everything we needed for your stay. The beds are comfortable and they even provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and coffee!
The house was very clean and well appointed. It was in a good neighborhood that was close to downtown, S. Congress and Lamar. Many restaurants to choose from within close proximity. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. The only thing I would mention is to watch out when backing out of the driveway - it has a big curb and kind of tricky to back out onto Oltorf.
We had a great time in Austin with friends and family. The house was centrally located and had easy access to everything we wanted to do in Austin. There is convenience store in walking distance and a brand new HEB about a mile away. All the basics that you need are provided and the beds were comfortable.
Great place and easy location! Communication was wonderful! It is on a busier street. The home just needs more seating for 8 in the living room, a more substantial coffee table, a less slouchy couch, and a couple more night stands. Otherwise, just what we needed.
We stayed here for my daughterâs graduation from UT Austin and this house was perfect for our group. The 4 bedrooms and 3 baths gave everyone enough space, the queen size beds and nice sheets were comfortable and the open kitchen & living room was perfect for meals and hanging out. Itâs on a busy street and a little tricky to get out of the driveway and also tricky for Ubers to pick up, but we figured it out. Loved that we could walk to a brewery and another day took a great walk down to Lady Bird Lake.
This home feels brand new! Everything is immaculate and efficient. We found many excellent restaurants nearby and enjoyed our morning walks along the river. We highly recommend this excellent property.
We were a group of 8 girls for a bachelorette trip and we could not have been more impressed with the house. The interior was so cute and the location was an 8 minute Uber ride away from literally anywhere we wanted to go. The host was very communicative and helpful with whatever we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
Great area to take a nice walk in the morning. Spacious house with quaint back yard to just sit and enjoy the afternoon. Plenty of room for everyone whom joined us. This is located within walking distance for coffee in one direction and the brewery in the other. In addition, minutes from great restaurants within driving distance.
We had a wonderful time in Austin and the house was very comfortable. The listing stated that the home was dog friendly and the inside was definitely great for our dogs. The only thing is the back yard was not completely fenced in and the house is on a rather busy street. Fortunately my husband is quite handy and was able to secure the backyard with a quick trip to Home Depot. The kitchen was spacious and the air-conditioning worked great. Bathrooms and bedrooms are quite spacious with comfortable beds.
