Park Place: On The Commons Park in Cape Fear Station, Walk to East Beach

Uniquely situated for an active vacation on this exclusive North Carolina barrier island, “Park Place” lies steps from The Commons Park, a 3-minute walk down a private alleyway to fabulous East Beach, and a 5-minute walk from a swim, or dinner, at the elegant Shoals Club.


The house, ideal for a two-family vacation, is decorated in a timeless coastal style with comfortable bedding and furniture. The reverse floor plan features a 2nd floor screened-in porch to take advantage of the sights of the adjacent park, and the sounds of the nearby ocean.


The open 2nd floor also includes a great room, dining room, fully-equipped kitchen, œ bath and a bunk room (two twin-over-full bunk beds). Downstairs, there is a master bedroom (king) and two additional bedrooms (queen), all with en suite bathrooms and Smart TVs.


A separate crofter features a bedroom (queen), mini-kitchen, pull-out sofa, Smart TV, and full bath, all situated above a cart garage, which houses (2) 6-seat golf carts (Club Car and 2023 Bintelli, both on maintenance contracts, to ensure reliable and care-free transportation around the island), as well as bicycles, beach chairs and beach toys. Between the house and crofter is a patio with a table as well as charcoal and gas grills.


Additional amenities include membership (available for separate purchase) at the Bald Head Island Club (including golf) and Shoals Club, outdoor shower, hammock, high chair, porta crib, front porch rocking chairs, linens, and a local property manager who can take of any concerns or issues promptly.


This property rents Saturday-Saturday during June, July and August.


If the island is closed to short-term rentals due to a hurricane we will refund in full.

Excellent home near the beach! Kitchen has what you need and more. The home is clean and beds are comfortable. Bikes are in good shape, golf carts are fast, lots of beach toys and chairs. The owners clearly take care to ensure this property is in great shape for themselves and their renters. The owner is highly responsive and very helpful.

Family annual stay at Bald Head

The house was great. Location was good and golf carts and bikes too. We enjoyed our annual trip to Bald Head. There were just a few things that we would mention. The floors were not cleaned well by the cleaners. My daughter in law swept the floors and also ran the vacuum Also the back door on the side going to the backyard door handle fell off the first day and after. There was no dustpan either. Would have been helpful. We just like to make mention so that the owners can address it. Overall it was a great week. Thank you for sharing your home.

The property fit our families well! The location was great — across the street from the park and a short drive/walk to the beach. We cooked most nights and the kitchen was well stocked with nice plates, platters, etc., which was a nice bonus. The property owner was excellent with communication while we were there. Thank you!

Thanksgiving at Bald Head Island

The house was beautiful. It was well stocked and organized. Plenty of room for our family. The porches and outdoor living spaces were very nice. It was one of the best locations we have stayed at. So convenient to everything we needed. The host was excellent to communicate with. Great experience!!!

Classic Bald Head House

Just as the title states. Very nice place with the classic bald head feel, nestled in a bunch of palms and natural brush. Front porch is perfect for watching kids play in the green space across the street. Plenty of room and comfortable. 2 6-seat golf carts that are in good condition. Lots of chairs and beach toys for kids and the beach is a 1 minute ride away.

Perfect place to stay

We were very happy with this house. The location is great and the house was very clean and comfortable. The photos don’t do it justice. We were really happy with how well equipped the house and kitchen were and the two six seater golf carts worked great. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location and home

Another great trip to BHI! Park Place sits right in front of a quaint park that our boys played frisbee at everyday. The format of the house was perfect. Kitchen and living room up and the bedrooms down. The Crofter was a bonus. The owners obviously worked hard to provide all the necessities. Waffle iron, Tupperware, pans, cookware etc. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place, we will certainly be back.

Great Thanksgiving Family Time

Park Place on Bald Head Island was a wonderful property for getting our children and grandchildren together. The grandchildren loved playing in the park across the street and the location was excellent to enjoy all the sights of the island by golf cart. We had a delicious Thanksgiving lunch at the Shoals Club and participated in the island Christmas parade on Friday evening. We would highly recommend Park Place

Great house and location

House is very clean and roomy. We had eight people and a baby. Plenty of space for everyone. The outside of the house and the porch furniture needs cleaning. Golf carts could be updated. We had great communication with the property manager. (there was a hurricane during our stay). Overall a great place to stay

Perfect location for a group of families

Location is great - very walkable to the beach and club. Only issue was some dirty shelves, missing towels and a stuck lock and subsequent suggestion from the property manager that our kids had created the issue. (why would I want to mess with their locks or steal towels from a rental????). Once we got past that, we had an amazing stay.

Another wonderful week on BHI

We have rented houses on BHI years, our needs changing as our family grows. Park Place was perfect for this year’s vacation with our kids and grandkids. We love to cook as a family and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any rental we have had on the island. The high chair, booster seat, kids plates and utensils were unusual , appreciated additions . The mattresses and linens were also the highest quality we have come across in a rental. The park across the street was perfect for our grandsons , especially since it was cool and windy during our stay. Sharon was very easy to work with and quickly answered my many, many questions. We hope to return!
