I have stayed at the Nook twice before. The location is very good, the manager is very helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is located away from the tourist areas so you get a good sense and feel of living close to the Thai. There is lots of shopping within walking distance and the MRT and water taxi are within 20 mins walk.

The room was fine. The bathroom had a bad smell coming from the drainage hole of the shower. However, the smell was not overwhelming.
Reception area smelled of cat urine and this did not give a good first impression of the hotel.

Only one bath tower, no face tower and no thooth brush and thoothpaste.nice staff but low number.Breakfast waiting time is so long and start at 7:30am.For me,it is just late coz our join tour start at 7am.
Quiet neighborhood, easy access to public transportation, walking distance to Pratunum night market. Owner very helpful with answers to visitor questions.

A short break in Bangkok
The condition of the hotel and room is pretty old but still quite clean. And the bedding is pretty comfy. The hotel boss is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is not bad - western or fried rice/noodles.
I was there for 3 days. .
Owner is very helpful
Speak good English and Thai, BTW he is a Thai national
Book a taxi to return to airport. Cheaper alot then getting one from outside yourself.
Location good. Foods, massage, street market, patinaum mall just 5 min walk.
Condition not a hotel or boutique standard but worth the stays.
Looking for budget stays, this can be it.
First good bes and pillow I've slept in 30 days of travelling. Hotel is good value for money. Breakfast is fixed if you don't mind so don't expect a buffet but you can expect an amazing owner that will give you tips and tricks to have the most enjoyable time in Bangkok

The Nook
Location of the hotel was not far from Pratunam. good place for people who want to shop around the area. Breakfast can be improve.
Price was very reasonable and the room was clean and spacious. The owner Frederick is knowledgeable of the area and great to chat with. 711, delicious street food, and Platinum Fashion Mall closeby. Highly recommend -- would stay here again.

Spacious room with minimalist "design", everything was simple (room, breakfast, etc.) and clean, but humidity and wet smell in the room were disturbing.
Not at all value for money. The reviews that I read and booked this hotel was misleading. First of all it is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast kind of accommodation. The rooms are claustrophobic and no cross ventilation at all. No arrangements for making tea or coffee in the room. The only saving grace is the owner and his english speaking which can give little guidance to the traveller. Staff does not understand english--but is fairly friendly. But is it worth the money??? I could see other hotels nearby which were cheaper or in same range with better facilities.
Well the reviews mislead. It is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast kind of thing. The rooms are claustrophobic, with no windows or fresh air. The owner has cleverly built and marketed this place---in this price there are better options available nearby. The only advantage is that here you have somebody who understands and speaks good english and guides you for free--but is the free guidance and english language worth the money? I am sure one can find better options--this is definitely not value for money.
