Crab Orchard House-Valle Crucis-Outdoor Fireplace

This High Country getaway is the elegant Crab Orchard House, tucked into the trees down a short gravel road with mountain creek access in Valle Crucis, NC. This 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home offers guests plenty of space to relax indoors or outdoors on the expansive rock veranda. The property is ideally located near hiking trails, historic Valle Crucis, the original Mast General Store and Annex, Valle Crucis Park, Grandfather Vineyard & Winery, and the quaint town of Banner Elk. There are two rentals on the property, in addition to the house is the Crab Orchard Guesthouse. Both properties share the driveway/parking area and creek access. Booking both properties together is also an option. Indoor and outdoor wood fireplace work fine. Both indoor gas fireplaces are not functioning.

Wonderful home but really has a lot of neglected maintenance. Overgrown yard, windows all need cleaning. Dog hair everywhere on carpets and floors. Driveway seriously eroded. Outdoor area and furniture need deep cleaning and pressure washed. Great location and very well designed home.
Stayed 16 nights in Aug 2025
