Great Location

Modern feel to the Hotel. Comfortable with a great breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Location if fantastic for both visiting Barcelona and getting on Cruises.

Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and quiet. It was two twin beds pushed together to make a queen sized bed. There are large lockers for €2 to hold your luggage if your room is not ready. I was able to fit a medium suitcase, an under the seat luggage, a full backpack, and two CPaps in one locker. In another locker, we got a large suitcase and a backpack.

We were pleased with our stay here. The front desk was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room was very clean and had no odours. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Our only slight problem was the air conditioning. It worked but didn’t get as cold as we would have liked. I think this is common in Spain but in Canada the air conditioning gets as cold as you want. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. They were delicious and had a good variety of food. They have a bakery oven at the buffet and they bake their own pastries…nice warm buns and pastries. The location was great. Thank you for a great stay.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is located on Las Ramblas so perfect for getting to different areas of Barcelona. Rooms were immaculately clean and had basic amenities. Safe in each room free of charge meant it was easy to safely store items.

Stay away

This is my fifth time in Barcelona and I can confidently say this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Upon checking in, we found that the room smelled extremely BAD, and there were a bunch of dead flies in one corner on the floor. We went downstairs and asked if the room could be cleaned while we went and got a bite to eat somewhere. We came back and everything was exactly the same. When we asked the front desk, the response was “you’re not the only room”. Which I understand but the expectation is to receive a clean room upon checking in. I asked if we could switch the room, the only other room available was a double room, but also not clean or ready yet. We settled to stay in the same room and asked the cleaning lady if she could at least take the dead flies away, she did but she told us she never got the instructions from downstairs to clean the room. We kept the windows open to keep the stench out, bought a candle and tried our best to not be in the room for as much as possible. You will feel dirty staying at this hotel, I understand it is a 3 star hotel, but there are minimum standards for cleanliness that should be followed. Any kind of dead insects is unsanitary.

I was very pleased with this hotel from the get-go with their friendly staff, their storage lockers for guests who arrive before check-in time, the comfortable full-size bed, and the modern and spacious bathroom. I stayed in one of the smallest rooms, but it was perfect for me as a solo traveler. My room had ample electrical outlets, light switches that made sense, a full-size mirror, a suitcase rack, a small desk and chair, mini fridge a safe and a 27" TV, which had a nice mix of channels in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Catalan. The real star of the room however was the spacious and modern bathroom which had a large mirror, clean towels, body wash, shampoo/conditioner and lots of hot water. The shower was surprisingly big and even had a useful and well-positioned grab bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel and consider staying there again.
