Located in an ideal river-end position, this 3-bedroom home blends relaxed coastal living with sophistication and expert craftsmanship. Perfect for a family holiday, the functional floorplan presents a light-filled and intimate feel, with sliding doors that take full advantage of the lower level entertaining decks or the private master deck, or play table tennis or billiards with the family. Magic happens in the sunshine, as you relax outdoors and BBQ. Stroll to river boardwalk within 5mins and explore parkland, boutiques and cafes in the Village.

The Space:
Modern, sunny and warm throughout, this relaxed coastal residence is located only 250m to the Barwon River shores in the charming township of Barwon Heads. Situated in a quiet local neighbourhood, you will be on the river boardwalk or boat ramp within a few minutes’ walk. Cast a line and catch a fish, launch your kayak or explore the estuary on your stand-up paddleboard, this is a lifestyle location that’s world’s away from daily life.

This picturesque seaside town inspires you to take long walks along the shoreline, go surfing at 13th Beach, or play golf at the exclusive Barwon Heads or 13th Beach Golf Clubs. Wander along Hitchcock Avenue to taste the local fare and hit the shops and boutiques, there’s something for everyone.

Guests will enjoy 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and open plan living/meals with private, sunny outdoor living and native gardens. The ground floor entrance reveals a modern design, with a focus on entertaining and style. Tasmanian Oak floors and internal features are complemented by Silvertop Ash decks outside, with three sets of sliding doors opening onto the expansive outdoor decking. The natural light floods the house through all the windows. You can open the house up – it’s all connected! You can see from one side of the house to the other! Also on the ground floor is a well fitted out garage with a table tennis table and billiards table for lots of family fun.

Setting the tone for calm ambience, the lounge features a gas log fireplace with comfortable seating and a reverse cycle air conditioner. Settle in and watch movies (TV with Netflix connectivity) and use the Wifi. Entertain around the marble waterfall bench in the kitchen, with bar stools for casual meals and adjacent dining with views of the magnificent gum tree.

Kitchen amenities include an electric oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee pod machine and pantry. Fully-stocked crockery, cutlery and cookware, tea, coffee and some pantry essentials are provided.

All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Beds are made with hotel quality sheets, and bath towels are provided. Please BYO beach towels. Two bedrooms on the ground floor are serviced by a family bathroom (bath, shower, vanity and toilet). One offers a Queen bed with wardrobe and Smart TV, while the ‘kids room’ is a large play space with Single Bunks and a Single bed (Linen available at an extra fee for a Single trundle bed, please request at the time of booking).

Upstairs is a parents retreat with a private deck for your morning coffee or happy hour drinks. The spacious suite is appointed with a Queen bed, reverse cycle air conditioning unit, dressing room and ensuite (walk-in shower, toilet and vanity). Enjoy the luxury of heated flooring in the bathrooms.

A stylish and spacious laundry with washing machine leads to the clothesline, and you will also find an outdoor shower for sandy beach feet.

The single garage is set up as a games room with a small pool table, table tennis and Boogie boards for guests to use. It is also available for parking, plus parking for one additional car in the driveway. Surrounded by established trees, landscaping, lawn and secure fencing, this property is Pet Friendly, by request only, and house Rules apply. A dog can be secured in a fenced rear section with a kennel, or have access to the full yard/deck.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries and breweries around the region.
Adventure Park is also a great day out with the kids – approx. 10mins drive away.

Getting Around:
Our beach house is within easy walking/riding distance to the river’s edge (250m), main Hitchcock street shops/café’s/supermarket (2km), and the river beach. Off-street parking for one car is available in the driveway, and one car in the single garage.

Closest train station 30km away (Geelong station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne.
Barwon Heads is 1 hour 30 mins by car from Melbourne.

Short get away. Wish it was longer

The home was well layed out in a quiet part of Barwon Heads. All amenities provided, fresh modern decor and comfy beds. It was well suited to us — three friends with two dogs but is also a great place for couples or families. Would love to go back and spend more time there. Not far to walk to the river and boardwalk with beautiful bird song. Lots to do in Barwon Heads and surrounds as well

Weekend refresh

This property was perfect for the weekend getaway with the sunny spring weather. This house was very clean, had a lovely display home smell about it and was drenched in natural sunlight. The private front yard which is landscaped well has a zen feeling. The location is quite and a very short walk to the lake. The shops are a 2 minute drive, however the beach is more closer to 10 minutes. Overall we loved this place and was one of the best places we have rented .

Lovely clean modern comfortable town house

We booked the property for the weekend and loved it. Weather wasn’t great so we turned on the fire and relaxed inside. The owners have made sure the property has everything to make sure you are really comfortable. Property is nicely decorated. We cooked a few simple meals and everything we needed was in the kitchen. Would highly recommend and we would definitely book again

Great place to stay

Fourth home I have stayed at Barwon Heads and definitely the best, especially with a small dog. Adult family were with me for part of the time and they were also impressed. Beds super comfortable and only thing missing was the instructions on how to use the dishwasher. Thanks to the owners for creating such a welcoming holiday home.

Exceptional house

The house was sensational; immaculate, spacious and tasteful. And thoughtful! An absolute dream to stay in. The location was a cycle or car side away from the town and beaches. The communication with the property manager was non existent. I emailed asking for another night and had no response which was a real shame. And there were a couple of small things the cleaner missed, but honestly no biggy. Absolutely LOVED our stay here! THE ultimate in pet friendly and family friendly accommodation!!
