Really appreciated the service attitude of the staff who were very friendly, including Ms 刘玉侠 who gave me warm packs, brought a fan and was timely and great in the cleaning of the room every morning! Location was really good. 24/7 laundry machines at B1 were also really convenient. Breakfast was convenient but not too much selection. Lastly the doors do slam shut and they can be a bit loud, but it’s not a big issue.

Good: - Rooms are clean, 4 free bottles of drinking water provided daily. - Location is near Wangfujing shopping area, turn left from hotel exit and walk a short distance. Its not immediate, have to walk about 5 to 10 mins. - Breakfast spread is pretty good. - Many eateries near hotel area, there is a 7-11 opp the hotel where you can get small bites and necessities. - There is a gym for fitness buffs, its simple but equipped with items to have a decent workout. There is a free laundry area (3 washers, 3 dryers) that are heavily used throughout the day. The not-so-goods: - Hotel is not exactly doorstep-close to metro based on reviews. May be ok for younger travellers but definitely not convenient for senior folks. The nearest is jinyu hutong which is about 8 to 10 mins away (for a young folk). Many sites show dengshikou to be the nearest but it is about 15 mins away. There are hotels that are closer to jinyu hutong metro. - Aircon temperature in room cannot be controlled. No doubt beijing was very cold when i travelled in Nov but room temp was set at 27 to 28 degrees daily which can be really hot and stuffy. If not because i was really tired, i don’t think i will be able to sleep every night. This factor itself will make me think twice about choosing this hotel again because a good rest is really important. - Staff service at reception area can be improved. They are not rude but lack warmth, particularly the male staffs. My overall rating will be 3.5/5.

There is a weird and very intense smell all over the hotel - lobby, corridor to the rooms as well as in the rooms (though it is a bit better there). My best guess would be it was a smoker’s hotel in the past and they are trying to get rid of the smell with more smell. Rooms are quite old (though everything I needed) and breakfast is not as expected from the pictures. Location is amazing though.

Room was great, big and spacious but not really any view, and cleaning every day was helpful. Staff was courteous and nice. Liked the breakfast, so many options. Hotels ideally located in center of Beijing near many sites we wanted to see and lots of things are within walking distance and subway is close by.

The room was clean and spacious — plenty of space for two people with both suitcases open. The location was excellent, just a 5-minute walk to Dengshikou Metro Station and about 20 minutes to the Forbidden City. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Beijing.
