Worst Place to stay in Goa with family

I had a bad experience staying in this hotel (Villa). Very remote location, no one to help in the hotel, breakfast was very bad - awful. WiFi did not work. Hot water was an issue. The owner did not have a bill to provide. The worst place I have stayed with family. I dont recommend anybody to have this experience. We paid almost Rs 3500 per night in Off Season and we got this! Nobody from my family is happy about it. We got fooled by seeing the pictures on the internet. What a shame.

Mr Mohammed First and foremost thanks for taking your time in putting up your review.And we do sympathize with your unmet expectations and do accept our apology. Sir, all our previous reviews have been excellent cause we do care of our guest and strive to give our Best. In your case Mr Mohammed Rs 3500/- was advertised on Hotels.com and for 4 Persons and these rates were for the off season, and you still Booked, But every additional person besides the above 4 have to be paid extra and we did charge you for that extra person. So sorry if all the things went wrong as mentioned by you Sir.

A's Holiday Beach Resort is really fantastic. We came early in the morning, and asked if possible to just leave luggage, but were met with a kindness seldom seen. We were allowed to step in right away, and the owner arranged breakfast. The staff are really kind, and were able to help with any question, that includes renting bikes, arrange taxidrive, flight connect etc. We had to leave at 6pm, and again the staff let us stay as long we needed. In walking distance, you find a fantastic beach. We used quite a lot time at Alex Place, and here the staff also were kind and helpfull. I would have liked to give more stars, but only 5 available :-)

This was a very comfortable villa with personalised attention provided to each guest . We really felt looked after. Exceptional servoce with smile

Clean and good hotel

Very nice place, you can feel the indian way of living with several different people helping out with what's necessary in the Indian life. Nice small pool and the villa was perfect for 4 people an possible for one extra. We stayed here for one week and never had 2 days that were the same, it was easy to find different places to swim and relax and also finding adventures.

Very comfortable. Serene and calm place. Would definitely recommend to all who are looking for a great stay. Staff are very helpful and the owner is very courteous and made sure that we had a very comfortable stay

Rude Owner

, there was no reception.. The the owner come on a cell phone and tell us that because our room wasn't ready, we would be upgraded to a bigger room for the night, we could stay there for an additional $12 a night. Later that evening, the owner finally made an appearance and was upset about the air conditioning. We were never told how to use them. So the owner was accusing me of trying to break his air conditioner before I was even told how to use it. He then showed us a list of rules for the hotel and pointed out the first rule about the air conditioning... I read it and agreed. After a couple days in a row of getting burned in the shower because of a broken water pipe, I told the owner about the problem with the shower along with other minor things that were broken. He quickly blew into a furry and started blaming me for breaking the things I had pointed out. He was raising his voice right next to my 7 year old as I was trying to cook. She and I both became scared. This could have been avoided if there was a proper reception area and rules that were clearly written out. But a business owner should not raise his voice around women and children and engage in arguments that make the child cry and both of us very uncomfortable.

Vorsicht!

VORSICHT. Ich habe das A's Beach Resort gebucht. Aber wenn man dort ein Appartment bucht, dann landet man in A's Beach Retreat. A's Beach Retreat ist ein 5 oder 6 stoeckiges Haus und hat mit den Bildern die man so sieht nichts zu tun. Wenn man zum Strand will muss man entweder 25 Minuten gehen oder eine Abkuerzung nehmen durch einen Wald der sicher wem anderen gehoert. Ich bin dort in der Nacht in ein Loch gefallen. Das Wort Resort ist wohl ein Witz vom Eigentuemer. Es gibt nicht einmal eine Rezeption. Als ich ankam hat mich der Sicherheits-Hansel empfangen und dann seinen Chef angerufen. Ankommen war auch schwierig weil die Taxifahrer das Teil nicht kennen. Eventuell ist der andere Teil mit den Bungalows ganz nett. Der Appartment Teil ist jedenfalls ein Witz. Es gibt ein REstaurant in Gehweite. Fuer alles andere braucht man ein Taxi.
