- DOG POLICY AND GUIDELINES -
✅ We collect a $250 deposit for guests with or without a dog
✅ Within 48 hours - we will send back your deposit.
✅ We just ask our owners adhere to some simple, responsible pet / animal guidelines...
✅ Please keep dogs off the furniture / off the beds (Scratchy nails, delicate leather & fabrics + hair on everything)
✅ Please clean up after your dog (We`ve got Poo Baggies & cleaning supplies )
✅ Please keep dogs crated if / when you head out (they can cause a lot of damage if uncrated)
✅ Please use the lint rollers!

✅ Please note - Extra cleaning due to hair, poo or furniture damage will be subject to additional fees and /or holding back of deposit funds.

- ATTENTION CAT OWNERS -
✅ As a family, we are ALL extremely allergic to cat dander. Our throat closes up and it makes it very hard to breathe - we`re talking hospital stays and asthma emergencies.

DEPOSIT::
We are fully authorized to collect a $250 deposit for all guests. This is collected within 24 hours of booking. The deposit requirement is clearly communicated during the booking process. Your deposit is refunded within 48-72 hours after your stay concludes.

NO PARTIES::
Parties of any kind are strictly prohibited. If you`re planning on having a party, please move on - this cabin is not for you. The Happy Fox Retreat is intended for guests looking for a little R&R, a quiet getaway in the mountains.

NO SMOKING INSIDE::
Outside is ok - But we have a very strict no smoking inside policy. The fee is $500 for violation and we are VERY STRICT on this. We have wifi smoke detectors that will notify us of an immediate violation. If you need to smoke, please do so outside, stay safe & away from dry brush and dispose of any butts in the grey / silver ashtrays in the designated areas.

NO CATS:
We, the owners have severe allergies to cat dander. Our throat & lungs close up and it becomes hard to breathe. Because we regularly stay at our cabin - for our own safety & well-being we ask all guests to leave their cats at home. Thank you.

SECURITY CAMERAS::
For security & maintenance - we have 2 exterior security cameras monitoring all front and back areas of the house - EXCLUDING the Spa - it`s hidden behind curtains!
HOWEVER, if it makes you more comfortable - we`d be happy to turn off the back camera for you. We value your privacy! Always happy to them them off, just ask!

RENTAL AGREEMENT:: We do require a separate rental agreement to be e-signed within 24 hours of your confirmed booking, along with Valid Government Ids, contact info and some other info to be provided. Happy to answer any questions on this!

REMOVAL OF TRASH::
The City of Big Bear Lake does NOT have a trash pick up service and therefore mandates that guests must remove their own trash. Guests are responsible for taking their trash to one of the city`s trash dump sites at the end of each stay.

OCCUPANCY::
The Happy Fox Retreat can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults.

PARKING::
The City of Big Bear Lake limits Parking to a maximum of 2 vehicles for the house. No Street Parking is allowed in any residential neighborhood.

FIRE OUTSIDE:
Please be advised outside fires are prohibited. That includes fire pits, propane stoves, gas, charcoal, wood logs or any type of fuel. We have dry brush, trees and wooden fences, all things that catch fire very quickly. If our home burns down, you will be liable. Please be responsible and do your part. Under no circumstances, start any fires outside. Outside fires are prohibited at this property.

CHAINS::
Chains are required at all times during the winter season. (Nov - April) Guests are responsible for checking the weather forecast and road restrictions.


CLEANING SERVICES::
Our cabin is well cleaned after each stay by our trusted cleaners who know our home inside and out; but please note housekeeping is not provided daily, only after before and after your stay.

SNOW REMOVAL::
Snow removal is arranged prior to the check-in time, but guests may need to shovel their parking spot(s) if they arrive late after it`s been snowing or if it snows during their stay. But don`t fret, it`s part of the mountain experience and shovels are provided so everyone can lend a hand!

DEPOSIT::
We are granted the exception to collect a $250 deposit for all guests. This is collected within 24 hours of booking. The deposit requirement is clearly communicated during the booking process.

But rest assured we are not here to keep your money! We return all deposits very quickly, within 48-72 hours. No games, no tricks, just good ol` fashioned service. We are here to provide clean, warm and comfortable stay! Hope to see you soon ☺️
