My husband and I had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was peaceful and relaxing, and a quick walk to the zoo! The service was excellent and the cabin was cozy, comfortable, and clean. We look forward to another visit in the very near future!
We really loved the location and the cabin was super cute. Living room was spacious and we loved that the bedrooms were separated from the living space. The beds were super firm which didn't make for the best nights sleep for us. But to each their own on the mattresses. Overall though we were satisfied and would recommend! Thank you!
Wonderful Cabin! Very Home feel, clean, comfortable beds, great outdoor sitting area, close to big bear village and Lake, safe neighborhood. Overall great stay, would definitely book again!
*Only drawback you have to drive to a location to throw away your trash, or else they charge $50 trash disposal.
Our three night stay was just perfect for our family. The cabin was wonderful, just as pictured with fun mountain decor. Check in was easy and the home was clean and had all the amenities we needed and more. The cabin is in a nice quiet neighborhood, and set among the fragrant pine trees with peekaboo views of both ski resorts from the wrap around deck. The first floor living room is a great place to gather and play games or watch a movie by the fireplace. Washer, dryer and full bathroom are down the hall and nicely a appointed kitchen. Loved opening all the windows and seeing the sun rise in the morning over the mountain. There are three private bedrooms are upstairs along with one bathroom. The beds are comfy with nice cozy blankets, and plenty of extras in the closets if needed. The heater is on the first floor and is a bit loud but heats the downstairs quickly and turns off. There are space heaters in the upstairs rooms but the bedding was warm enough that we didnât need to use them. The cabin is close to both ski resorts and just a short drive to the lake, grocery stores and Big Bear Village. Loved our family getaway and hope to return again.
The pictures show the home nicely and it is cute but when we got there the stairs were filled with snow. I called in advance to tell them I was disabled and they didn't remove snow from stairs to get in to the property. There was nothing saying that the entrance was on a second floor. They sent someone who just dropped a shovel for my husband to shovel like 5 feet snow off the rail & stairs. They said it was in our contract which I agree but, they should have been upfront when I called and told them I was disabled. It was not in the description. The house was really dirty. There were rat droppings which we have pictures of, what looked like body hair all over white pillow case, lots of dust and dirt on floors. Old popcorn on the carpet, stains on sofa, there were rat/mouse traps in kitchen and bathroom. Yukk! They should have resolved that and cleaned up the rat poop before we got there, gross! I didn't want to stay there but our contract said it was non-refundable. When we called about the stairs the girl who answered was rude, I can only imagine how they would have been with the cleanliness issue. I am disappointed for all of the money we paid we should have received a clean house! Not one that looked as if it had been vacant for a while and not cleaned well in a long time. I should have been warned about the house when I told them I was disabled. This was a trip was for my birthday which is tomorrow. I have not been able to travel or go anywhere as I have had 9 spinal surgeries in less than 5 years. I was so excited about this trip and the final ok from my neurosurgeon to travel to Big Bear and it was so disappointing. I just can't say enough about how dissatisfied we were.
