My husband, small dog and I recently spent three nights here. The rustic cottage was clean, well-cared-for, and well-supplied. We were impressed with its very efficient layout and how well-built it was. Everything was in excellent working order, and we enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The views at the nearby rocky shore were spectacular. We used this cottage as a base from which to explore the Cabot Trail by car and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park on foot. We went on a whale watch out of Bay St. Lawrence and saw whales, seals, an ocean sunfish and incredible geologic formations. We attended a ceilidh one evening in a nearby church and enjoyed an intimate acoustic concert of traditional Cape Breton folk music. We enjoyed our breakfast of Dutch "pannekoeken" at Ton and Yvonne's Dancing Moose Cafe so much that we returned another morning for more. Our host was friendly and helpful, and made sure we felt welcomed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would heartily recommend it to others.
